I did try, but got flagged as an ad.  But... but... no website yet!  Frustrating.  I'll get it figured out, I'm sure!

Hello there!  I'm just getting started as a provider and researching everything to bits (including having been through the self-help center.)  Just thought I'd pop in and introduce myself to the community.  There are some marvelously warm and wonderful folk here!

There is no reason to be shy this is the "nice" section of the site lol . Reading the self help center is always a good start and the people here will be happy to answer any additional questions . Are you working on a website ?

Oh, I'm generally shy... until I'm not.  I'm working on getting pics for a website!

..you might want to read, and participate on the DC Board, and Other Cities Board.

  Good luck and have fun!

Hugs,
Kelly

The DC board is close to Virginia as is Maryland, these and Other Cities would be good places to introduce yourself.  You did the right thing by reading the self help center.  This forum is where you can come and ask questions w/o worrying about someone flaming you, we are here to help.

No need to be shy here.

While she might want to introduce herself on the "other cities" board, expecting much to come out of that board is not realistic. Posting on, and getting known on the DC board is quite another matter, and a suggestion the OP should take to heart.

The problem with the Other cities board is simply a lack of traffic, with the few threads that were moved to "other cities" as sort of a joke by Admin, there is very little actual conversation there, so she would end up talking to herself, which I am sure would be disheartening to a new provider. The DC board OTOH is full of conversation, and getting known there would most likely help her business quite a bit.

One last thing about the other cities board. It would probably be worth the time to post an ad on the "other cities ad board" they don't get a ton of traffic, but it cost nothing but a moment or two of her time. It's the discussion board that I am mainly referring to as a waste of her time and energy, except perhaps to respond to the occasional thread dealing with the VA area.

have to admit, I don't think I've ever looked at the other cities boards.  Didn't realize it was so dead.  It just kinda puzzles me why providers pick this board to introduce themselves if they have a local regional board.  Seems to me, it would make more sense to intro themselves there.  Oh, well.....

Here because it's the newbie board, and, well, newbie. =D

It is after all just like you said, "The Newbie Board" lol

but it would be a great idea to introduce yourself on the DC board as well, and welcome to TER.

Hi Maureen,

Are you a VIP on TER? If so, why don't you PM me.

I am in the DC area too and perhaps we might like to spend some time together.

I have been known to write a review every now and then too. ;-)

D.

Join P411  and do the "free" escort website that many providers do. Easy.

Oh!  I didn't realize that was an option -- thank you!  Now I just have to join and get past the hurdles.

Joining P411 is turning out to be the hard part.  The problems with being new...!

..on the "other cities board", but to read it.  Many gentlemen inquire about Richmond, and it would be worth her time to reply, as she is close to the area.

Kelly

".you might want to read, and participate on the DC Board, and Other Cities Board."

I rest my case. you are "at least half right" as I said in my post. lol

I also stated that it might be a good idea to participate in any threads that are about the VA area, but cautioned her to expect much from such a dead board. You were a bit more than "half right" I was/am 100% correct. lol Unless you have proof to the contrary that is?

The DC board can do a lot for her business, the Other cities board can do very little. That's all I was trying to convey. No need to get defensive.

...if she is in western VA or south...like VA beach, then even though the other cities board has less traffic, it may indeed be better than the DC board.

I'm up in Northern Virginia, so the DC board is the closest.

Aahh, but the Carolina's are a few hours away and well worth a tour. IMO

Well, I do have friends in that area... I wouldn't be able to get down there until mid-March at the earliest, though.
