Once that review appears, a profile filled out by the reviewer will be your profile from then on. You can write to TER if there are any inaccuracies in it by filing a problem report. As to your second query, I think your suggestions are good, and I would add that being a frequent and welcomed voice on your local board is an excellent way to market yourself and establish credibility. I myself have met many women on TER from their board contributions.

I was never prompted to do so and can't find the link for it anywhere.

After reading the self help center, feel free to come back here and ask any questions you may still have. There are many of us on this board who will be happy to answer them.
You can do a search for specific topics on this board, that might help eliminate some questions.
