If it's a golf resort, have her tell the guard she has a tee time. If there's a restaurant open to the public, and there almost always is, have her tell the guard that's where  she's headed and meet her there.

I've had this situation happen a couple of times and would like to ask for advice to everyone on how to best handle the situation.  I'm staying at a hotel (usually a resort type) which has a security person at a gated entrance.  Lady coming in for outcall then gets stopped, and shares that she is visiting a friend, and they ask for room number and NAME.  Hobby name obviously doesn't work in this situation, and she either gets turned back, embarrassed, or finds another way to get in.  My least desirable option is to share any real-life info, but sometimes that might be the only option.

Any advice / suggestions?  Has this happened to anyone else, and how did you handle the situation?

I live in Vegas where there is many hotels and some of them have a security guard checking for room keys.
It is not a big deal.
Here is what you do if the hotel you are staying at just happens to be one of the hotels who has security guard checking for keys or no guard but still need a key to access the elevators.
Meet the lady downstairs in a predetermined location and go upstairs together that way she is not embarrassed at the elevators and turned away.

If you are at a hotel and have business associates or friends in the same hotel you could meet the lady downstairs somewhere slide her one of your room keys and then go up separately.
Of course this last option is used for reputable ladies.
These are a couple different options to get around your situation.
As for sharing your real life info well...I guess you are seeing ladies who do not ask for any of that info I am assuming that is what it sounds like.If she does not have her real info and she walks up to security and they ask name on the room and she doesn't know it well that is a problem.

A lady should always know where she is going and the layout of the hotel/elevators.
If she is not familiar she needs to ask the client she is going to see about the location of the elevator,is there security?,does she need a key. These questions that need to be asked before leaving the house.

Guard: Room number and name please.
Girl: Room 456 for Numpty88's surprise birthday party; not sure if his girlfriend booked the room, or best friend or secretary.  We could call the room if you want, he's still at dinner with the GF and everyone else is setting up the room.

Or could make it for a wedding party, a bachelorette party, or girl's night out with friends, or a reunion party.  These would also work well for two women showing up together for a three-way date.

You could also ask the provider what name to leave for her with the gate, then call the guard and tell them your girlfriend got delayed, so when someone named Ms Hotness arrives in ~15 minutes just let her through for room 456 - but don't leave your own name with the guard.

Resorts sometimes issue paper parking passes tied to a room.  You can get an extra one and then meet her offsite for lunch/dinner/drinks whatever and then you both drive through separately.  If at same time you go first and tell the guard your girlfriend is in the car behind you, they'll just wave you both through.

I personally would tell her what you are wearing or describe yourself and meet her in the hotel bar, you'll probably know it's her just by seeing a beautiful women walk in. Order her something to drink and you can "break the ice" before proceeding upstairs

I would suggest you meet her off site, let her park her car in a safe place, and drive her in with you.  Seems to me that would be the simplest way around the security guard problem.

I arrived at the condo complex.  Yes, if there is an actual guard there at the gate she will need to give a condo number and your name.
