Frankly, I have no references and I don't even know where I would find one. How hard is it to get in with some of the bookers in the LA area? Should I just tell them that I have no experience and that I'm new? What kind of information are they looking for? Any advice or response is appreciated. Thanks for helping out a newbie.
A girls has certain screening criteria whether she has a booker or not. The best thing to do to get references is to join P411, see a few "newbie friendly" providers there who don't require references and you're st.
Consider joining one of the verification sites. Date-Check, RoomService2000, or Preferred411. P411 might be the best way to go as they allow their providers to indicate if they are newbie friendly, which is what you need. Gina and her staff at P411 will work with you to verify that you are not LE. It's better to give out some personal info to one site than to several different providers. You are going to have to give up some personal info until you can see some ladies and get some references or OK's.
Def tell any potential providers you might see you are new and have no experience. To find them, look at the LA ad board to start with. Find a few that interest you then check them out. Look for reviews, use something like tineye to verify her pics, and google, or other search engine, her phone number. This is called research and it's extremely important that you do this to minimize surprises, and bad times. Any provider you want to see should have 5-10 reviews by established reviewers. This is not the only review site, there others, but TER rules prohibit me from naming them. You might seek out some of the veteran guys around you for advice, look at reviews and then check to see if he has a lot of reviews.

While their advice is great for most providers, the LA kgirl world is a whole different world. Regular provider references, p411, date-check etc., usually mean nothing to the kgirl bookers. They usually only take references from other kgirl bookers. It is tough to break into that world, but once you are in, you're in. As xyz said, read the kgirl board. You should be able to find info there on how to break into that scene
Run afoul of a booker and the word spreads. How do you run afoul, write reviews with low scores, treat the kgirl poorly, change your phone number, etc.
