Otherwise I stopped using envolupes years ago.  I dress clean travel-casual & envolupes don't go in pockets well.  You need something to keep your pre-counted donation together...  I use a big paper clip or 2.
NO, nothing connecting to you or your employer.  While we are at it, use a hobby phone & hobby email.  Not leaving tracks becomes second nature...  being sloppy gets people caught.

I no longer use envelopes or letters for anything anymore, so I don't have any plain white envelopes to use.

However, the place I work does have boxes and boxes of standard envelopes lying around, but the envelopes have the company logo and forwarding address on it. I don't really care since after screening me, the provider knows where I work anyways.

How do providers feel about this? Acceptable or not?

Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Even if you do give your employment info for screening (I would never do that) it's indiscreet to use an envelope from your company.  If she's a real pro she ditches your screening info after screening is complete, so why make doubly sure she has it.  Then there's LE.
You can get a small box of envelopes in any stationary store for less than $5, so I don't see why this should even be an issue.
If you can afford a hooker costing several hundred an hour you should be able to spring for some envelopes.

Granted the Newbie board should be understanding of naivete, but are you really considering saving a few bucks on a box of envelopes by using company letterhead envelopes?  If you are serious, then you need to become MORE paranoid, not less like most folk. Here's another tip that you probably need to hear:  Get a burner phone.

At any rate, use of anything other than completely plain white envelope is a serious violation of ASH Starndard #69 (American Society of Hobbying) and would be reported to your local board by any certified Provider.

...don't use company envelopes. The first time visiting a provider do things the way she asks for them to be done. Because you're a newbie it's important to have her comfortable with things.

I still use an envelope most of the time but it isn't always white. Sometimes it's a teller envelope from the atm machine I used. (Though those aren't left out much like they use to be.)

Extra info: Get verified by one of the verification services such as P411(Preferred 411) or Date Check. Many not all providers will accept this in lieu of your employment info.

There's usually at least one or two pieces of mail per week with a return envelope that you might not use for correspondence, why not use them for the donation?

I'm still working through a 500 count box of #10 plain white envelopes myself.

Or if I went to a teller to get the $, I'll just use the small envelope I have her give me the $ in.

use a work envelope.  In the hobby, develop a standard pattern of being discrete.  Do everything with a mind to not getting caught, compromised or surprised -- good for you and good for the provider.  That company envelope won't just be seen by the provider, but also by hotel maids (and who know who else).

Be discrete, be discrete, be discrete.  In all things.

NOT.

Good grief, they sell plain white envelopes in the grocery store for about $2 for a box of 50.  Splurge and get some.

I did once use an interesting envelope.  I was staying at a hotel, and got some money for a date at an ATM, but didn't have an envelope, and even the hotel I was staying at didn't have any there.  But, I was attending a bats mitzvah that morning before the date, and the synagogue had donation envelopes available by the door to the sanctuary so I figured, what the hell.

I bet the gal never saw one of those before or since.

And yes, I'm going to hell for that, but, oh well...

is to lessen the chain of proof in the event of a sting. Of course LE could use secret markings, but like HardKnocks said so elegantly above, take every opportunity to be discrete. Do not rock the boat!

Now MrFisher, if you use one of Those envelopes with an ATF, be sure to include a card that says Mazel Tov.

and the consensus is finally succumbing to common sense.

I have NEVER used an envelope EVER. plain white or otherwise. If you want to use an envelope for your own convenience, that's fine. but don't be convinced by the BSC hookers/johns that it is doing a thing to lessen your risk of arrest.

Quite the contrary, having the EXACT amount in an envelope that corresponds to the rate advertised on her site makes it even harder to explain that you are not indeed hiring a hooker rather than easier.

Many/most hookers request you use an envelope, some of the BSC ones actually insist on it. Trust me, I have seen more hookers than anyone I know and not only have I never used an envelope I have yet to have a woman turn down my donation because it was not in a "plain white envelope"

Don't get me wrong. I go along with most of the requests that the ladies ask to feel safe, but jumping through unnecessary and meaningless hoops is something I will NEVER do.

As for stings, once you walk into one, you are already fucked, and not in the good way. All the envelopes, code words and the like are not going to do you a bit of good. The secret is not ever finding yourself in the same room with LE in the first place, not using stupid tactics like "plain white envelopes" or "LE checks" as a sort of safety blanket like some stupid people do in lieu of doing proper planning in the first place.

I've always wondered what the girls do with all those envelopes.  Do they recycle?

I don't think that using a plain envelope protects the john.  I do suspect that somewhere along the way a lawyer advised a provider that she should insist on an unmarked envelope and that she should be suspicious of anything that is marked.  Just guessing how this custom started.

Just like all the various "LE Checks" All of them are complete and utter BULLSHIT!!! So is the envelope.

If you get really bored some day, do a message search both here and the GD board about "envelopes" You will find that 7-8 years ago I was blasted for stating that the envelope was useless, and less than 10% of both hookers and johns alike agreed with me. Fast forward a few years and only a few holdouts who obviously got their legal training by watching reruns of Law and Order now  disagree with my assessment an envelope providing the least bit of protection from LE.

So sorry, but your guess is wrong. Nice try though. lol

Walgreens has 100 box of envelopes for 3 dollars. I assume you can afford it. Take as many as you might need and toss the remainder.

No the color doesn't matter. And frankly, as GaG and some others have said, the envelope itself doesn't even matter. I have never heard of a lady refusing her donation because it wasn't in an envelope (white or otherwise).

Personally, I usually use envelopes for convenience, not for any false LE protection. I use envelopes to carry cash for other things besides this hobby.

If you want to use envelopes then go buy some. They are cheap and available everywhere.

my room.  Found it later that day.  Not sure I would want hotel staff to find a company envelope.

One gal I see...  puts a shopping bag into the hotel trash can... and removes it from the room so there's no tell tale trash for the Maids or Management to get the RIGHT ideas from.  We joked about it (old friends) & she said she disposes of in a public trash can.  A minor bit of trouble to be discrete.

but I've never needed an envelope.

and I could care less if you use one. I've never required it, because the donation is the real issue, not the method of delivery.

In fact, I prefer you just put the money down, so while you're washing your hands I can pick it up, take a glance at it, and then put it away discreetly. Done and done.

And yes, on tour, disposing of all those envelopes is something to think about. I don't think there are very many hotel housekeepers who wouldn't figure out the truth when they empty a wastebasket with multiple white envelopes!

don't you look for clues that he is willing to follow your house rules?  If a lady wanted donation left on the top of the TV in foyer, I would be sure to do just that, to put her at ease. So if she wants envelope, I figure why not show her I'm not going to be a problem.  Is that too cautious on my part?

I've only had one provider specify that I put the donation in a "plain, white, unsealed envelope" and leave the envelope in the middle of the bathroom counter. She further instructed that I not write on the envelope. I assumed that she wanted to reuse it and I was very tempted to draw a smiley face on it, but I didn't.

Nobody has rejected them yet.  However, a box of small white envelopes is not that expensive to purchase.  I do have those, but have gotten lazy, and just picked up an envelope at the bank.  It doesn't have my name on it, so what difference does it make?
