Can anybody tell me about their experience and success using backpage. I live in a small town in California and have been debating contacting a couple providers on backpage but almost all of them have not been reviewed except for 1 and her ad looks exactly like the others. I plan on visiting providers who are reviewed on this site but they are at least an hour from where I live which is why I ask about backpage providers close to me. This will be my first time visiting a provider so I am really nervous about using backpage without some advice from you guys. I appreciate any feedback.

Be very careful with BP. LE stings and scams are all too common with BP.

BP is not a place I would recommend at all.
I live over an hour away from SJ, and there are BP ads all over where I live. Tempting for sure just not worth the risk.

Try signing up for P411 or one of the other screening services. That might help open up your choices and if they are listed there it's a much better chance of them being legit .

I always tell people, you can look anywhere, but come back here or some other review site and DO THE RESEARCH!!!! Verify the phone number, the pictures, and anything else you can think of. While the general consensus is to tell you to stay away from backpage, I know of several quality providers that advertise there. But bp is also loaded with scammers, cash-and-dash girls, so let the buyer beware.

What is the nearest big city to your hometown? You probably will have to travel to the places to get decently reviewed providers. Listen to all of the previous posts -- stay away from BP.
I think BP ads vary from city to city. I live in Denver and have seen a few providers from BP that were easy to get hold of and were very good. I recently traveled to Lubbock and tried BP there and was not so lucky. First one I contacted was a double, they had their own website and required a deposit. They took the deposit and never showed. Second one was a single independent, we booked an appointment and she never showed. Sorry if this just muddies the water more for you, but just giving you my experience.
