I get that, but still...

On multiple occasions I've seen websites where the lady had the date-check logo, but then still wanted employment info or to contact references other than just date-check. I guess if they had to take the extra step to check a box on here, then it might cut some of that out.

Also, the last time I visited another major city besides my home base, I did a search for what I wanted, and I had to go through about 30 sites before I found around a half dozen that clearly accepted date-check. It ended up being easier for me to search on date-check directly, then link to their TER reviews from there, but that was still tedious.

...if not all have the P411 and/or Date Check seal on their site indicating they are members and accept these for screening. Even then many want further info which they indicate on their P411 or Date Check profile with details like Basic plus two or similar.

I don't check the S&P board often, so forgive me if it has been discussed. I would like to see the ladies be able to update their profiles to show which verification methods they accept, and then have a field added to the search form that lets you select them. I'm talking white list, P411, date-check, etc. I try to avoid asking for references multiple times, so if I could limit my searches to ladies that accept verification sites, it would save a decent amount of time.

What do you mean?  That if I were to have my verification-service options listed on TER, that I wouldn't want anything additional?

Just trying to understand.

I wouldn't make a declarative statement that you "wouldn't" ask for any additional information. Obviously everyone sets their own requirements or can modify them if a new client says something out of line. I also understand that someone having a single verification that is ten years old wouldn't qualify as having enough info to be safe either.

I'm saying it may save time searching and communicating for both parties if that info was more up front. I've had email conversations with two ladies recently that advertised on their websites that they were date-check members including the direct links. However they would not accept date-check verifications. If I had known that in advance then I never would have contacted them in the first place.

If a lady advertised that she accepted a verification service, but actually didn't, and started receiving more complaints about that practice, would she be willing to update her profile with more accurate info?  I don't know but I would hope so.

...won't accept Date Check verification? That's weird. What's the purpose of the membership if you don't accept it for verification. ...Or was it that they wanted Date Check verification plus other information for screening?

If they were asking for ID info or something similar then I could understand. They just flat out said they wouldn't accept references from date-check. I asked one why she didn't take the link down or close her membership, and she just told me that it was none of my business.

...there were some issues with Date Check. New owner, complete make over of the site providers and mongers were Not happy. I haven't heard anything lately but this could be a reaction to that. Some said accounts went "missing", ads paid for disappeared. It could be these providers don't trust DC anymore and have quit dealing with them. Though you would think they would remove the DC logo from their site.

I can't remember which site requires having their "I accept blankity-blank" banner on ladies' home pages for which reason, but certain listing sites DO require it.

Whether it's to be listed at all, or to have a higher listing, or earning from referrals, or to have her own website link on her ad at that site..... some of these verification sites DO ask that we place a banner on our sites and even the landing page of our sites in exchange for said privileges.

So that could be why you notice some ladies who have the banner, but don't actually accept that method.  ;-

It does appear to me that certain individuals use the links just for advertising/financial benefit, with no intent to actually follow through with using the service as expected.

I believe this is what you are saying as well, and it is part of the reason for my suggestion. If there was a profile option on here to put out truthful information on what is accepted, then providers and verification services could still use each other for mutual financial benefits, but the limits of the verification benefits would be more accurately known to the hobbyists, hopefully saving time and frustration for all involved

In addition to her verification secreting, there are often specific requests covering a variety of things. After knowing what she wants to know, I usually still go to P411 to request the appointment, but I provide any additional information she wants.
