I've had a mostly good experience with non-reviewed ladies, but still some bad experiences with good-reviewed ladies.

Not a lot of reviewed ladies in SLC and BP is probably the best hunting ground there. Of course it still makes sense to do his homework and research always. Your blanket statement of avoiding backpage and seeing only TER reviewed ladies only works for larger cities where TER is popular.
I have had a poor experience with only 2 providers out of 35 and they were on BP with know reviews. I have seen a few who were on both BP and TER. Spend the money to get TER VIP and P411 and you can avoid problems and risks.
Took a peek at P411: 71 ladies currently listing in Salt Lake. That ought to give him plenty to keep busy.
Now, if he is cash strapped, then it's another story altogether...

...I'm wondering if you used TER to find the ladies you have seen. It sounds like the answer is no. Use TER. Have the VIP membership and you won't see ladies without reviews that are hit or miss. You have eight reviews but still a newbie from the sound of it. You said you've found most ladies advertising don't have reviews. If your using BackPage as your source that may be true. I've never used BackPage. Every lady I have seen was/is advertising and they all had/have reviews. Some were not TER reviewed but they had reviews and everyone of them now is TER reviewed. The ladies have to have an ad or web site in order to be on TER so they all advertise.
I have had No bad experiences with the ladies I've seen.
You may be happy with the way things have gone for you. It's possible you like taking a chance on the session being bad. You may not mind paying for that bad experience. If you like that go for it. However reading your posts makes me think you don't. Going forward I suggest you look for providers here on TER. Get the VIP membership if you don't already have it. Read all of the info about the lady in her reviews and her profile. It's not 100% that every session will be great but it greatly increases the likelihood they will.
Something else to consider is continuing to see ladies new to you using your present method increases your chance of being robbed, scammed, ripped off, or arrested.
Please note I'm not saying ladies without reviews should not be seen. I'm only saying they should not be seen by newbies. Your results along with the possibilities I listed above are the reason why.
I've been traveling to SLC for business for years. It's a waste land when it comes to escorts. I could care less how many are listed on P411. I've given up even looking for someone to see. The one thing I would say to the OP, be careful with TOFTT with BP advertisers as the LE presence is high.

Now you often do need VIP to get detailed information but sometimes even the basic will wave you off.
Just because they have reviews doesn't mean they are good. We've all seen ads with LINKS to TER reviews that leave us wondering... but non-TER memmbers don't seem to check. I've seen links to reviews that say "Stay Away"!
Ads are not a goof indicator of service. Use an image search like tineye or google to see if the pictures are real or stolen off the internet. If they are lying about pictures what else are they lying about.
