The movie was worth watching just for all the sexy scenes with Jamie Lynn Descala (Meadow from the Sopranos) who played Heidi Fleiss.

Fleis could only wish she was nearly as attractive as Descala :)

I have been looking for information on what evidence was used to bust Heidi Fleiss.  Does anyone know how L/E was able to build a case against her?  I know she has a book out, but I don't know if it has any of those details in it.

Thanks!

I know that she reported her income as 17,000 and had a multimillion dollar home and the IRS was looking for her. I think she also bragged about her clientale to people at parties and had groupies waiting to audition for her in bathrooms of nightclubs she was at -----that didn't help

it is like having a neon sign saying pimp when you actually are one

Madam Alex ( high society madam in la) Heidi's roommate, was convicted and jailed and looking for revenge. She believed Heidi stole her book and her business. Alex  contacted a reporter at the Los Angeles Times and told her the story. Not really expecting anything to come of it, the reporter called Heidi and requested an interview. Shockingly enough, Heidi agreed.

A story was published in the Times. There was a new big cheese at the LA pee deeee who saw the article and decided to take Heidi down. A cop attended a party where Heidi was present and gained an introduction from Heidi's friend and ex-roommate. He requested the services of a few of Heidi's girls... Heidi contacted a few of her employees and sent them to a hotel room where they, in turn, were  busted. The police arrived at Heidi's home and arrested her....

Its called, "Call Me: The Rise and Fall of Heidi Fleiss "  An HBO movie on DVD now.   I actually liked it, to be honest.  All about sex, drugs, money, glamour, and hot women.  ;)

moral of the story, her friend/roommate blew her in..

Hi Carissa,

You fit the bill!!!!  Hubbala -bubbala- boomski!!!! I hope to make it to Gotham City, one of these days, to see you!!!! :o)

and I remember watching it last year with a dear friend, and rolling ROFL the entire way through at the unintentionally hilarious dialogue.

From what I hear from your clients, the glamour and excellent sex part is more YOUR specialty.

Madam Alex’ long time boyfriend was LAPD Captain Steve Gates, the younger brother of former Chief of Police Daryl Gates.  She lived in Studio City and operated with impunity for years.  Captain Gates was the commanding officer of the police division that included Studio City.  The scandal broke about a year before Heidi was arrested.  According to Heidi, Madam Alex gave her the black book.  Nothing ever happened to Captain Gates other than the fact he retired on a full pension and is practicing law somewhere in Southern California.  According to retired Captain Ackerman, who was the commanding officer of the LAPD Vice Division when Heidi was arrested, Heidi was too high profile to be overlooked.  He never did explain what happened to Madam Alex when asked by the investigative reporter.

... set him up with girls.  He also got her to send along a little coke.  The coke was plea-bargaining leverage.  Heidi made a number of rash statements to the press about how "I'm never going to jail," a foolish thing to do in light of California's pandering statute, which calls for straight prison time and NO probation.  When she won her appeal, the feds stepped in and indicted her for taxes and her father along with her, for leverage.

Part of what got her busted was that she was basically rubbing the fact that she was a madam in LE's face.  She became real arrogant and cocky, so to speak.  Regarding all the money she was making and also the madam that she stole all the clients from help do her in.

"Sometimes I really hate that fat mumu slob."*
