Bait & Switch...  ads with pictures not her own or seriously out of date or sends another provider

Runner or 'cash & dash'  Grabs the cash & bolts for the door.

Runner or 'take off' After recieving the cash, announces she left the condoms in the car, goes out to get them & runs.

Runner After recieving cash, does not have condoms, you drive her to the store, she runs...

Runner After recieving cash, does not have condoms, you drive her to the store, you wait outside, she tells the clerk a story (coersion, pressure etc) is let out another door...  she runs...   with your donation.

She promises/implies services which are withdrawn from menu after payment.  (This refers mainly to large scale changes)

The switchero  First review BBBJ, later customers CBJ.

Reviewed:  Link to TER or other reviews.  Take the time to read the reviews.  Existance of reviews does not mean they are good reviews!  We've seen links to horrible reviews!

Up sell:  She collects payment & suddenly services are extra cost.

The Banker:  Asks for cash advances or loans, sometimes to be worked off or repaid in cash... then refuses your calls or disappears.  (Note:  Some experienced hobbiests take these chances & advise never loan money you can't afford to lose or just gift outright.)

The Deposit Ripoff:
There are exceptions where it might make sense to pay a deposit... like travel expenses or a large time block reserved (over night, weekend, an extended night of dinner & dancing) where she is turning away others to accomidate you.  But in general, deposits leave you open to be ripped off. You pay the deposit & she suddenly becomes hard to reach or ignores you all together. There's no way to force compliance. You can't legally contract for an illegal act.

Thief:  When you are not looking, items or cash disappear.

Scout:  After appointment your residence is burlarized.  Sometimes doors or windows become unlocked.

Blackmail
The provider finds out too much personal information about you, and threatens to post or give out your information to who ever (job, media, family) in exchange for money.  Blackmail / extortion are felonies.  you will require legal help.

Gorilla:  She seems legit, you are getting "comfortable" and all of a sudden some big ape is pounding on the door or busting down the door and you just want to get out of there with your life.

Mugging:  The girl or her thug block your exit and you aren't allowed to leave unless you give them all the money you have in your possession.

Or the ones where she is stalling for time, you may be undressed but she still has her clothes on, she is doing a little dance, strip tease, etc, mostly dressed. Outside one of her friends is breaking in your car and stealing anything and everything they can find of value. The session doesn't actually happen, she's stalled long enough that you pretty much know you've been screwed, you go back outside to find your car's been broken into and she acts like she knows nothing about it. (I read a review on another site where this is standard MO at this girl's incall).

I also read a review the other day where the girl took the money and then went to the bathroom and locked the door, and didn't come out - the guy waited 4 hrs and she did not come out. (said she had a computer and phone in bathroom with her btw).

ADDED:  She gets on the phone with her "agency" & asks specific questions about sex acts & money.  You invite her to leave & there are no hooker refunds.  (Possible LE sting or she simply denies offering services.  "What kind of a girl do you think I am?")

Scammers are very slick... they have the move all planned & can even be out the door before you can protest. There are some who should be in the Olympics... track team! Many of the scams work best (against us) on out-calls to your home or hotel room. Place the donation well into the bedroom, not near the door!

I should caution that it's illegal to physically lock someone in or physically restrain them... think kidnapping or unlawful restraint charges... still we don't have to make ourselves look like an easy mark! This is supposed to be FUN! Again, well reviewed providers are the best bet for newbies & the risk adverse.

It's a good idea for all to be reminded of these hobby pitfalls every so often, not just the guys new to this.

I wish my hubby had seen this before his escapades in vegas last year, he actually had a very well reveiwed (on here) escort, blackmail him and threaten to tell me everything and that he would be hurt, if he left a bad reveiw and or told anyone about what happened with her.........she didnt scam him but she was BSC..........

Did you know he visited escorts before that? I would love to have a lady that's OK with me doing that sometimes as long as everybody plays it safely and responsibly, I'd even be OK with her doing it with someone else sometimes as long as I knew what was going on.

I only paid a deposit once, and only because it was in exchange for a lower rate and the provider offering the deal has a great deal of personal integrity. It was good for me as it lowered the cost, and good for her as it provided her with a hedge against the reserved time being a total loss if I had to cancel. And it was an amount I was comfortable losing in the very unlikely event something unforeseen had occurred to cause me to miss the appointment...basically she bought some protection against risk from me in order to lock in a floor amount of income, which is pretty damn smart. But as a general rule I say nein on deposits.

We do create our own luck.

So many of those situations you describe sound like BP girls, hmmm. I guess I'm fucking brilliant.

Not really.

What do you recommend instead? I find Backpage and TER to be inconsistent.

Thank you so much for posting this, this is very helpful. I've read scams before and generally haven't had a problem, but I got a horrible provider recently that basically did a soft mugging that's somewhere in-between on your list: was nice on the phone, offered a certain price for a certain time, came over, raised the price, took the money, came out and said she only did a few things, wanted more for more, and a ridiculous price for the full experience.

Based on what she said, I thought maybe I just wasn't at the level she usually gets, but looking back and hearing other people's experiences and seeing this list, it's obvious she was scamming me and the rules would have changed on-the-fly no matter what I'd have done.
