First, I AGREE!

TER has three major pieces: Forums, Profile-Review Database, and PM.

The forum software, although outdated, does have the search feature (for each board, separately). Not too sophisticated, but it gets the job done. All the posts are pretty much flat text (plain ascii) and that is fast and easy (doesn't use up TER computer resources) to do.

The Profile reviews are also flat text and should be fast and easy to search. But dealing with the output might be a problem because there is so much other info associated with the Juicy Details. Search "BBBJNQNS" and you'll easily find that string of characters in lots of Juicy Details, but now how to present the results list and make sure the links get the right Profile and the right Review?? Some people want by date, others alphabetical, others want boolenan search so they can add other criteria, and so on. Absolutely do-able, but a little bit more work.

The mailing system is also antiquated but at least it is private and secure. No hackers have ever sent me ads for blue pills. If they replace the current PM software with something new, the big problem is making sure that the old PMs are properly migrated to the new system.

TER must be working on upgrades to the Forum, Profile-Review Database, and PM. I wish they'd be a little more interactive with the users (or some users - they haven't contacted me, that's for sure). But a warning: any major changes will generate some headaches and mistakes. They should test-launch and TEST anything FIRST and not bring down the whole system (like D-C did with their system the other day).

Is TER EVER going to add this feature? I hear and read about this topic and how they should. Some even say it's easy, and they will, but I have seen no evidence of it. Why wouldn't they allow VIPs to search the Juicy Details section with keywords?

It would make the TER experience SO much better and efficient. The provider summaries are simply not always accurate or up to date.

TER: PLEASE CONSIDER THIS GREAT IMPROVEMENT TO THE SITE. VIPs would stick with this site for the long haul if you had this feature available. (Thanks -- Just my 2 cents)

Some of us have thousands of PM's from over a decade of being here, it's IMPOSSIBLE to find an old PM under the  present system without going through hundred of pages of PM's without any kind of search function

It's a nightmare finding anything.

This doesn't sound like that hard a fix and it would be very popular.

As I do every time these topics are suggested here, but I ain't holding my breath! :)

Would really like to see the review keyword search, since it's my #2 most missed feature.

My #1 most missed feature is having a quick link in the reviews to all of the other reviews that member submitted.  I'm mostly on either my phone or ipad and it's a bit tedious to constantly switch Windows and copy/paste names to get this.

ll, damn.  I *swear* I tried that before and just got the PM form.  Must have clicked the envelope and not the name.
