Re: You can be almost positive that the name she uses as a provider is NOT her real name

Please note, I did not ever say in my post that I would initiate contact in real life. My "fear" is that they would initiate contact. My preference would be to use visiting providers or providers that live WAY across town and never venture over to my side. However, I have used one provider that I have since found out lives in my my little burb but also on my side of town.... Having mentioned several eateries that I too love to frequent. In fact, I believe her child may be going to the same school as my grand daughter (thank fully not the same grade, if I understand her references to her child's age).

However the use of visiting providers is also not my preference. Let's just say I am a scaredie cat... Toooo nervous with new providers to "function well", so AM more comfortable with return visits, which leads to wanting "local" providers. I don't care how much a TER reviews says "provider made me very comfortable at the start"... I will be scared/nervous as shit!!!! Personal issues... performance anxiety (something I am wanting to overcome).

OK, I've read some other boards and know that some clients have great friendships with providers. However, there is one provider I know of that probably lives in same town/section of town I do, and I just may run into her when I'm out and about... Do I assume the name I know her by is her's... Would hate for her to say hello especially if I'm with wifey. (LOL)... then again maybe she's with hubby (OH NO!!!).. I hope most providers ARE discreet..
