How did I get temporary VIP status?

I seem to have received temporary VIP status for 30 days. My question is "why?". I'm not trying to look a gift horse in the mouth.  It is awesome. I'm just curious. I just submitted my second review. Is that why?

Is there anything I can do to keep it going?

And you'll get 15 more days for each new review. So if you submit on average 2 new reviews every 30 days, you can keep it going for free forever!

Another way to get free VIP days is report problems you see in provider profiles or reviews (e.g. a new review was put under a new profile rather than the existing profile for a provider). You get 2 free days for each report that's accepted.

You get 2 VIP days for every approved problem report

The great thing about free VIP status is that you earn additional days for every approved review or problem report, even if there's been a gap in your VIP membership. For example, if you were to let your current 30-day membership expire without submitting anything new, you would still get 15 days of VIP for your next review, even if it's three months from now. Your VIP status is reactivated everytime you submit an approved review or problem report. If you have saved searches or favorites, they'll still be there when VIP is reactivated. I am temporarily without VIP status, but I had six days last week from problem reports. I know that many of the guys on these boards wouldn't dream of letting their VIP expire, but it can work well for us "low volume" hobbyists.

Found a repeating problem and pounded through them like Sherman to the sea. While on my couch watching two NFL games. A profitable afternoon.
