Previous posts have said all I could have said.  I'm going to ask Gina at P411 about it, and will let you know what she says.

My apologize up front for not visiting the newbie board - or commenting but I find myself scratching my head in the past few weeks over some 'newbie' emails and maybe you would be so kind as to help.

What exactly do you think defines a 'newbie friendly provider?'

One who agrees to see Newbies (i.e., those without references from other ladies).

Essentially TOFTT for the providers side. This doesn't mean that you don't screen, just that you don't have the benefit of other providers' corroboration.

...them without references. You screen using other info.

and like those who are self employed have no employment referances.  My first gal asked for my land line number...  not to call but I presume she did a reverse look up & other available research to confirm me.  I continued to see her when I was in her area for several years.

their def means providers will see clients that have no provider references.  Now, that may not be everyone's def of newbie friendly, but it's the criteria they use.

as far as information...  but that's a world away from no screening.  As a guy, I was unaware of screening mentioned in my previous post.  I think a newbie friendly provider is willing to put together data from a variety of sources.

She's willing to use varied methods and get creative to verify the uninitiated, as compared with those who state "must be this or that." No right or wrong to either approach, just a question of which business model the provider wants to use and the clientele she's comfortable with.

give extra attention to helping the newbie overcome any anxieties during his first time with a provider.  This requires mental as well as physical tenderness.

some newbies (as some longtime hobbyists) would rather not take the leap of faith of screening or verification, even with an established provider - they just want to show up. oh well.

Thanks for all the good responses. It gives me a better idea of the perception of  a newbie friendly provider

...that some Newbies don't want to be verified or screened.  The main issue is that as Newbies, they don't have references from ladies, so many ladies don't want to take a chance on THEM.  There is probably a new post here every week along the lines of "help, I don't know how to get started, ladies want references but I don't have any because I'm new."

Guys who are serious about getting into this hobby come to understand they have to go through some level of screening.  Now there is often debate here about relying on verification sites like P411 ENTIRELY for screening, or ladies doing additional on top of that - but NO ONE who is serious about this hobby on either side recommends foregoing ALL screening. And if you DO have guys asking you for dates who aren't willing to provide any screening info (even to P411, which I am a big fan of) - then you just need to either ignore them, or remind them again that screening is absolutely mandatory for you.

(if you do a search for P411, I'm sure you can pull up all the past debates on this board about whether or not accepting their screening alone is sufficient.  For me, since the vast majority of P411 ladies accept P411 verification and "okays" as sufficient, I stick with these ladies.  Many do as I do.  But many guys also branch out further and see ladies who request personal info in order to do their own screening, and they are comfortable providing that.)
