look wherever you want to look, but do the research.  There are many quality well-reviewed providers that use Backpage.  It's pretty cheap compared to some of the other places to put ads.  If the ones you have found have the reviews and you have thoroughly checked them out, go for it.  But regardless of where they advertise, you have got to do the research on them.

Research is the key to a safe and fun time. Your odds of being ripped, off stung, or otherwise treated poorly are higher on BP than many other ad sites so doing a good job on your research is very important.

ust as every provider screens differently, every hobbyist "screens" potential dates differently as well. I will not see a provider who solely advertises on back page (or Eros). I want to see a current viable personal website. The lady may have 50 current positive reviews but I still wont see her if her only method of advertising is the above. I am sure I have (and will continue to do so) missed out on some wonderful ladies, but I have to stick with what I feel suites me best. Coupled with an active website,  I also look for ladies with at least 10 current reviews. Again, this is what makes me comfortable/confident in setting up a potential session.  

So if you ask 100 hobbyists about whether you should see a provider who only advertises on back page, you'll get 100 answers. So you'll have to learn what information you require in order to feel comfortable in setting up a session. No rules.

legit on BP and have been  on for a bit... and as for advertising options after a huge BAY AREA site was shut down, lots of legit gals turned to BP.  
I think you still have to research their phone # and email etc to make sure they are reviewed and you wont be ripped off..
That goes for women on any ad site not just BP though

As swim says it doesn't matter where you find them as long as you do the research. Sounds like you did the research. If they are well reviewed, long time providers, as you say, then go for it. Where they advertise is irrelevant.
You also don't say where you are. In some areas of the country BP is actually the best advertising resource or only advertising resource for escorts.

...seem to be the key words here.  Sounds like you've done some research & have followed the posting patterns of these providers enough to establish some confindence.  Next smart step is probably to make brief initial contact without sharing any personal info & see what you think.  If the responses are polite and professional and not pushy then you can probably move forward with even more confidence.

As for LE,  most jurisdictions dont have the resources to keep up constant rolling stings, so again the established presence and posting patterns make it unlikely.  You'll never totally eliminate the wrong place, wrong time risk of the hobby, but the chances that LE is using an established providers name, email, phone #, etc to run stings five days a week are very slim.

Finally, best rule with BP is to just be able to punt and move on at any point in the process if something doesn't feel right.

On the flip side, providers that use BP are usually inundated with time-wasting and sometimes threatening inquiries and are obvious LE targets as well, so make sure your communication to them gives them some confidence that you're real, safe, and actually planning to do business sometime soon

and cross check all the info on her profile.  Yes, you need VIP to complete the research...  reading the comlete reviews, especially the most recent to see if it's different than her profile page.  All advertizing is just that...  advertizing she controls.  
I look at the pictures (& comments about the images).  I look for a variety of pictures, different angles & dress / undress.  I have reason to suspect a few stunning photos run over & over...  that they may not be recent or accurate.  
I am less concerned with where her ads are posted...  every ad site has fake ads & scam girls...  but educated research can direct you to reliable providers.
