TER General Board

The poll said ''ever'' and some of us are old enough to remember the early 1980s.

Before HIV I don't think I ever ran into a lady who used a condom. Not in the Nevada bordellos nor in the Los Angeles scene. HIV changed everything, of course.

Male condoms are generally regarded as reducing risk for many (but not all) STDs by about 87%. Female condoms may do slightly better. I typed in (most of) an article in the Journal of Sexually Transmitted Diseases on this subject. It required two posts because of length restrictions on posts. The links are http://theeroticreview.com/discussion_boards/viewmsg.asp?MessageID=92901&boardID=12&page=130 and http://theeroticreview.com/discussion_boards/viewmsg.asp?MessageID=92902&boardID=12&page=130 .

Condoms do not make sex safe. They merely make it safer. Actually, what they do is to increase the mean time between infections by a factor somewhere between 7 and 20.

With a disease having very low infectivity such as HIV (the average risk of infection in the absence of genital sores and assuming that the HIV positive male is not newly infected is regarded as being about 1 in 500 for a single act of receptive vaginal intercourse if a condom is not used) and where very few people are infected (the infection rate in the US is thought to be under 1% excluding men who have sex with men and intravenous drug users) using a condom may well make the mean time between infections longer than your expected lifetime.

The poll result that I find really disturbing is the one that indicates that 50% of the responders never get tested for STDs. I would argue that we all have a responsibility not to spread STDs. Please note that some STDs can be asymptomatic in some people.

I am new, and saw in the poll archive that 43% of respondents have had "BARE BACK FULL SERVICE FROM A PROVIDER". I had always assumed that FS (as distinct from BJ) would always be covered.

What was the situation where you had BBFS? Was it TC? Did you worry about STD? What about pregnancy (a letter 9 months later asking for child support)?

Personal oppinion, BBFS is a dumb idea for both players.  There is one very nice lady I saw a few times, but she does BBFS and I stopped seeing her because of that.  She is a nice person, very good at what she does, but too much of a risk for me to feel comfortable.

One POV.

For all the reasons you mentioned and more.  Whoever those guys are who showd up "positive" in that poll, they are making the hobby unsafe not only for themselves, but also for those of us who try to be careful and safe.  Just my two cents.

I think some of the respondents are confused about the question.  I don't think that any quality provider, or an intelligent customer, would engage in BB vaginal intercourse.  Probably a majority of providers will engage in BBBJs (Bare back blow jobs) and that is what they are responding to.  Personally, I will not engage in a relationship with a provider that will not suck my dick without a condom.  I'd rather stay home!  At any time I would be happy to provide test results in order to receive this service.  Remember the provider is much more at risk because they are the receiver of the bodily fluids.

I have worked with a provider who did BBFS for double her donation. I know of a few providers who, if they know you well enough meaning if you have seen them several times, will perform BBFS. One of them got an STD from it twice. One other one got pregnant but had an abortion. You may think it doesn't happen but it does.

...and many if not most ladies and gentlemen are careful not to discuss it at all, for fear of loss of clients or companions. But I know too many girls who do it often.

Then, nobody used a condom, and the sexual revolution was in full bloom. Everything was BB. And in that environment, without a serious concern for disease, guys certainly weren't going to pay for a woman who insisted on a rubber.

Outside of high school sex education class, and occassionally passing them on the shelves at the drug store, I don't think I saw a condom till 1988.

With condoms being the relativly thin things that you can get now, with the seriousness of STDs (not just HIV) and with a tendance for "opps" to happen when you least want, to not use a condom is not a good thing....  Who does this and what is the thinking?! Would love to know.  I became sexually active in 1970 - and the first time was BB with no birthcontrol... after that - the pill, then well, a variety of things - but activities (with civvies) were largely BB.  Finally, married - BB no birth control and lo and behold - in my 40's I was a dad!  But now I hobby - and guess what - FS - no way... far too risky...

I had the chance once with a wonderful Thai provider while on one of my trips to California. I was busy DATY, bringing her to a big O when she moaned that she wanted me deep inside her. It was oh so easy to slide up her little body and into her lucious shaved wet pussy. Not more than 5 strokes and I was shooting my load deep inside her. After we both caught our breath we agreed that it had not been a good idea, after a glass of wine and some BBBJ we put on a cover and enjoyed the action cover. I went home nervous, hoping for the best. Well it has been over 2 years. I am fine and from her reviews it seems she is too.
