Thank you again for your help! It is hard to figure out where my dinner date and I might want to eat beforehand, but I want to make sure we can get reservations and enjoy a nice dinner together!!!

I will be coming in the downtown/inner harbor area at the beginning of next month and need a recommendation for you fine folks on a good place to have dinner. I love a good steak and seafood and would like something nice but not super pricey! Somewhere with some good old Baltimore  character? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Fleming's Steak House in Harbor East or really anything in Fells Point for seafood...try The Point or Thames Street Oyster House...

Import their crab and seafood year round. The bay just doesn't sustain all the demand by baltimorons, tourists, and ocean city trash. I'm not going out on the bay this time of year and neither is anyone else. Whatever recommendations u get the ingredients are not locally sourced so just go where u want and anything downtown is pricey and commercialized. Me....I'd take u to Mama's for a feel of the locals in the "trendy place to live" area. The foods real good for prices less than harbor east or downtown. Again...nobody's catching a crab in February so don't overpay. Nothing worse than paying top dollar for a crabcake from Indonesia. Oysters from Virginia may be available. Beef is always shipping into town and The Prime Rib is famous in the inner harbor area for about $100 per person.

There is a wide selection of regional Italian restaurants in "Little Italy", located a short cab ride from the Inner Harbor.  It will be too cold to walk there.

I agree...Aldo's is great...La  Scala is another!

you go on the first day of opening of the week as fish tends to be at its freshest :)
