how do I make sure nothing what I do on that phone does not show up on her IPad? I think it has to do with the icloud feature?
I think your suspicions about iCloud are on the money.  Your iPhone & your wife's iPad are synching on the cloud.  If your bookmarks are synching, then other items are also synching...like contacts, e-mail, etc. Go to the i0S settings and turn off those synch options (see link).  You might consider turning off iCloud completely on your phone.   --z

I do not use my iPhone for calls in the hobby but I do visit sites like TER and P411 and clear the history. The other night my wife was on her IPad,went to the bookmarks page and saw TER I must've put it there by accident. So how do I make sure nothing what I do on that phone does not show up on her IPad? I think it has to do with the icloud feature?

At the very least you've got bookmark sync turned on, this is a feature found in both iOS and Google Chrome, so depending on what you're using you may have to deactivate the feature in multiple places.  I would mark this as a learning experience and avoid anything hobby related on a device that shares an account or billing information with your wife.  If  you absolutely must use your shared device, at the very least remember to open a private browsing window.    I personally try to avoid using phones and tablets when I'm viewing hobby stuff, but its mostly because I'm a PC guy and I know where all the tracking and session data is stored on my system and I can manually remove it if need be.

Its also worth pointing out that google stores your search history if you're logged in to a google account (gmail, youtube etc) while you are searching for things.  You need to manually turn the feature off and clear your history check the link I've posted for more information.  If this is the first time you've cleared your search history you may be surprised at some of the stuff you've searched for over the years.   For android or google maps users, your maps and location data is stored as well, so if you've been using your phone as a nav system while hobbying, you may want to clear that information as well.
