if she is a member.  If she is, she can sponsor you.  If not there, maybe DC.  Unless you are in the midwest, around Chicago, RS2K might not be of much help.

I am not new to hobbying, but most of my hobbying has been less formal encounter, and more medium-term arrangement.  As such, I have nothing in the way of practical references -- so, for all intents and purposes -- I am a newb.

I am in the middle of my first screening process and while the provider is trying to work with me, but she is having a hard time confirming my employment to her satisfaction.  She has an email from me, but would like another point of reference. I work for a large corporation, but there is no central switchboard.  In any case, I work from home -- so phone number won't cut it.  We do have an employment verification service, but that would require that I supply my SSN, which of course, is not going to happen.  I am at a loss for alternatives.  Any ideas

....are contractors, and do not have an "office".

There are many, many ways to verify employment without a switchboard, or forwarding your SSN.  Did you e-mail the lady you you wish to visit with from your professional e-mail address, or a "hobby" address?
Did you initiate contact through an appointment form (I know, many of you do not like them; just asking), or simple e-mail?

   Happy to assist via pm.

Hugs and Kisses,
Kelly

Date-Check, Preferred411, or RoomService2000.  I do know P411's owner, Gina, will work with you to get you verified.  That might alleviate some of your screening problems.

I will try to fill in the spots I left blank.

She does not have a form on her site for applications.  I did initiate from a hobby email, but part of her screening is a blank email from work, which I did supply.  I am a p411 member, but only used it once a few years ago and was not clever enough to get references.  She normally requires references, but was willing to forego that with enough data points on employment verification.  Hence an work email *and* a verifiable work phone number, and why I am pondering other forms of employment verification

...the lady you wisht to see wants a work phone number, in addition to your professional e-mail account?  I thought you could not provide a work number?

Then again, I did tell you that could contact me via pm, but you never did.

Hugs and Kisses,
Kelly

If you have P411 look for newbie friendly ladies on there willing to work with you on verification, get a few OKs and you'll be on your way.

Join a third party verification site, and get a burn phone. I never give my employment information for the same reasons a providers don't give any of their personal information. If the provider insists then move on.

It might not solve your immediate need as the provider you are presently dealing with might not be a member, but in the future it will help; especially after you receive a few "OKs" from providers.
