DV has been posting Desperately for several weeks

"Desperatevirgin" has been posting desperately to the Newbie, General and NY boards (any others?) for several weeks and surely seems to be a client, or is desperately trying to become a client.  Advice has been polite and plentiful but, as someone (WB) said on the NY board, "God! If you can't find a provider in NY you couldn't find ugly in Tarzana."  To anyone reading this in Tarzana, I'm sure that WB was not referring to you personally, :-)

My take was that DV is little TOO desperate, probably a little too young and immature and needs to calm down and take things slowly.

Given that ... If someone is asking you for your TER ID, they almost always mean your handle or TER name which is "Desperatevirgin" and not your membership number which is only for internal TER admin use.  Whoever is asking probably wants to see if you have any TER reviews or maybe read your recent posts to get an idea of what you are like.

At some point, perhaps when you are no longer a "desperate virgin", you can ask TER Admin to change your handle / name to something else.  "No_longer_a_desperate_virgin" perhaps?

I'll just say it again: Calm down, DV.  The opportunities will surely come your way

Do I need to be a member to see it? Thank you in advance.

go to your account manager.  If you have written any reviews, open one of them, your ID number will be on it.  As a hobbyist, you really have no need for your ID number, and nor does a provider need your number.

Hi I'm new I'm wondering how does someone submit a review for me . Do they need to sign up also

To review a provider a reviewer needs to sign up as a member. The free membership is all that's needed although VIP membership will help him get the most out of the site.

They must be a member which, as he said, is free.  Ask your clients if they are TER members, and if they are, ask if they would mind giving you a review.  If they are not members, tell them about the site, and that it's free to join.  By writing reviews, they get 15 free VIP days which is vital in researching providers.

Read the self help center too.

Yeah I'm not that desperate anymore, I don't know what I was thinking when I made my ID. I'm just going to make a new account and buy a membership.
