Depending on providers, some will ask you for your work info, others will ask for your id, etc if you're new with no references. I think it's best to join one of those screening sites such as P411, DateCheck... You give them your info (again, depends on what you're comfortable giving out), they screen and verify you. Then, you can set up a session with a "newbie friendly" lady. After that, you can ask her to be your references.
The advantage of the verification sites is that you only have to give our your info 1 time.

alternative until you see some ladies who will vouch for you. They are worth the money, P411 also allows their provider members indicate if they are newbie friendly. That should help you get your foot in the door, so to speak.

After you research and choose a few, send a concise email (not your life story or why you're doing this) that says you're new and asking if there is any way you could be screened without provider references. Only email one or maybe two girls a day so you won't be labeled a time-waster. If they don't respond, respect that and a day or two later, email another.
Keep in mind that you will be somewhat presumed to be LE. That means you really need to be careful not to talk about money or specific activities. Lots of us see new guys, so long as you're fully open and willing to provide alternate information.
I agree with the guys that P411 or RS2K will ultimately be the ticket, but I don't actually know of anyone who was comfortable using a service like that before they had experience.

while it's true that there are many providers (and agencies too), who will require your personal info in order to do their own screening, if you go with P411, the VAST majority of ladies there will see you without asking for any personal information. So weigh the plusses and minuses for yourself, and do what you feel comfortable with.
