They are a red flag for me. In my experience, the guys with a ton of whitelists are often terrible clients, who will harass and hound you for whitelists after the appointment. No thanks. I don't need that kind of drama.

I've seen posts in TERland by more than one provider that many whitelists are a red flag for them when screening.  I'm not exactly sure why; perhaps a provider who feels this way or knows other providers who feel this way can comment.

Personally, I've found whitelists occasionally useful; I don't have a lot of them but those I have are from very well known/respected providers within my area.

So im getting the vibe that p411 is the go to source for verification. But how about ter whitelist? Will providers accept you if you only have TER whitelist?

methods of screening.  Every provider is entitled to screen the way she wants.  If you don't want to supply the information requested, move on and find another provider.

If you have refs from other sites, that will help.

Its really a shame that something intended as a positive thing is viewed by some as a negative due to either abuse or misuse.

...some mongers steer away from providers with what they consider too many reviews or too many in a certain amount of time. Some providers steer away from mongers with too many reviews. I've not heard of too many white lists but it amonts to the same thing as too many reviews.  No matter what the intent someone will find a way to mess it up.
