You're over thinking this.

They care about what's inside the envelope, not the envelope itself. Any regular size envelope will do just fine. No worries.

Just wondering how you other hobbyists present donations. I am not too keen on setting down a legal, office type envelope or a bank teller counter envelope, makes it seem too sterile. There aren't too many bill-sized envelopes out there, though I've found some on Etsy. Do you guys think about this sort of thing? I just prefer to use something nicer, as I see it as an extension of my neatness and being presentable.

I know that it really doesn't matter, but little things do make a difference. I always make sure to make eye contact and smile when ordering food, and to say thank you when I am served anything, whether it's someone's job or merely a courtesy.

Of course I am aware that I am paying for a service, but I would rather put too much thought into being considerate than not enough. We all like to be made to feel special, no matter how small the gesture.

with one exception (where the gal's site asked that the donation be put in the vase inside her door), I have always spread out the bills on a convient surface so that at a glance the lady can tell how much is there.  If I am giving her more than her hourly rate, I tell her I am doing so because I would like to have a no-rush session.
