Agreed! I just went a year with no new reviews....in fact, was not even really paying attention to the fact until someone pointed it out to me. I have been touring cities/states this last two years that do not utilize TER, and thus, no reviews on this site from them...in addition to working more and attending school full-time, and providing less, equals less reviews.

and thus we are seeing fewer new clients, and therefore receiving fewer, or no, reviews.

That does NOT make us less trustworthy.  I would argue quite the opposite, in fact.

Question about why providers in the top 100 (or just in general) would have gaps in review dates for months to a year?

Are these providers considered less trustworthy?

... is that there's many possible reasons for a gap in review history.  Sometimes a provider thinks they have plenty of reviews so they stop asking for them, or even ask clients to not write any more for awhile.  Sometimes they decide to go under the radar (UTR) for a time, then decide to get some fresh reviews if business tapers off.  Sometimes the provider takes a hiatus for whatever reason... unfortunately sometimes it's because of a family crisis or a medical issue.  And lots of other reasons.

I don't think a provider with a long review history but a gap in reviews should be considered untrustworthy only based on the gap.  If both the old and new reviews are good, I would not be concerned.

No for sure way to know other than to ask her, but that might not be a good idea.  If you are really worried about it, don't see her, there are plenty of others out there.

Like mentioned above: Someone could only want to stay low volume so once they have regulars they stop meeting new people. Or sometimes people don't want too many reviews, or the lady could take periodic breaks. I know I have done it a few times.

I don't think it's something you should be suspicious of, really. And if it makes your nervous ask her!

I am not out posting ads, or looking for new clients because at the moment I am a very happy girl.  lol Smile 4 me!

I consider myself to be very trustworthy.

I recently saw a provider who took a few years off while she was in a relationship and stopped providing while that was going on. Whatever the excuse, I don't find a provider less trustworthy due to a gap in reviews.
