The effectiveness of client profiles

Hey all.  Long story short, I've been researching the hobby for a while (more than a few months) and finally decided I was ready to get in with both feet.  Getting involved in "the right way" is very important to me, so I have read up on etiquette, joined TER as a VIP and became verified by P411 before initiating any contact.  I'm aware that some SPs have strong preferences about seeing newbies, and as such I've worked hard on my profile to have it be a good reflection of my approach to the hobby.  To the experienced hobbyists and SPs, how important/valuable is a well presented profile and does a "good one" help to ease some of the concern about entertaining a newbie?

Getting started is hard but it sounds like you are going about it in a good way.

Even some gals who say "no newbies" will see someone if they get a good vibe from them.

Write a concise and friendly introduction and put your cards on the table.  Provide plenty of screening information, and you'll find some gals willing to see you.

Remember that grammar and spelling count, but you seem to be good in that department already.

Thanks very much for taking a moment to share your thoughts.  Good to know that I'm on the right path.

a great quality! And yes, a profile gives us a fuller picture of you, and we can get a good vibe from that. :)

Just remember when you first make contact to send a definite date and time for your desired appointment and to let her know if you're flexible. Many of us have found that those who aren't precise are typically time wasters.

Have fun Drew!! :)

Thanks very much.  I don't like "being a newb", but as in life - one must pay their dues.  Re: enough specificity in detail, yes, I picked up on that very early in the board discussions and have taken it to heart.

As someone who is also new-ish, I think the fact that I bother to introduce myself politely matters.  A (surprising?) number of ladies have "looked past" my newness.

The profile I couldn't comment on
