Tayor's Elite - Verification Procedures - Opinions Please

After reading some really hot reviews about Drew of Taylor's Elite who visited Twin Cities this week I attempted to make a date on short notice.  No problem says the lady who answered their phone, "she has very good availability".  She proceeds to explain their verification policy - absolutely the most extensive and restrictive I have ever encountered in 15 years as a hobbyist.
- full name
- must have DL to match
- cell phone number
- must have employer verification info with you (pay stub or business cc with employer name - biz card not enough)
- must provide buziness phone number.  they must be able to phone that number and talk to you, OR be able to listen to a company directory for you extension and hear your voice on the greeting (they must think everyone works in a big office environment or maybe they just want the corporate types as clients)

So after much apprehension (I REALLY wanted to see her) I take a chance and provide all this info and was asked to wait a few minutes and they would call me back after checking me out)  I wait 1/2 hour - no call back.  I call her back and she tells me she is waiting for their verification program to boot up and it will be another 10 minutes.   Still no call back and I give up.  I check with my secretary at work to see if there had been any calls for me but nothing.

I can't quite figure out what I did to scare them off but I want to know if I am the only one that finds this a bit excessive.  Have never had to go this far and when you think about it anonymity and discretion were cast aside.

Fprnicater,  Alison is VERY protective of her ladies.  She makes you jump through these hoops to protect her and the lady.  Once you have seen her ladies, the verification process gets better.

MDL, protective is nice but this is excessive.  I haven't tried any travelers before because of the difficulties I have in scheduling far in advance and my general preference for local ladies.  However, her picture and your high opinion of her made me sufficiently intrigued that if something hadn't come up suddenly, I would have tried the same thing fornic8ter did.  However, I would have never passed muster as my office is at home and the only number I have is my cell phone.  Quite frankly, I am very dubious that would be willing to hand out that much information anyway.

I think the problem is they can still get enough business...  Lets say you owned a bus and 10 seats were available.  It turned out your bus was so nice that 25 people wanted to ride it, so you were free to choose whichever 10 passengers you wanted...  whichever 10 passengers are most favorable to your needs.

In the traveler world, one of the things that makes you more favorable is ease and completeness of verifiability, so Taylor's chooses to fill the bus only with highly verified corporate types.

Other agencies choose to do some of this "filtering" by jacking the prices, and given that alternative, I guess I prefer Taylor's approach.  I agree though, it is quite a pain to get your "papers" in order to see them.

Does Taylor's accept RS2000?

I've seen postings here and there regarding "RS2000".  I guess I am still greener than I thought.   What is RS2000?

Thanks,

brrr.

"Room Service 2000," often called RS2000 or RS2K...

It's a web site that has provider ads, but what makes it unique is that they have a "verification service" for a fee.  Once you join and you see a provider who is "RS2000 approved" and she verifies you, you can use your RS2K membership as a way of verifying with other gals without having to provide the usual invasive details.  I don't know how many providers accept RS2K as a reference.
