No need for more dead boards! There are enough of those! Take a look at Kansas, Portland, New Mexico, Colorado, Vancouver, and many more.
There was a potential need for the new boards they just added because of the influx of people from the disbanded site

TER has added three new regional boards for California. (Central Valley, Inland Empire, and Gold Coast) Hope this helps out the folks from that other site who are looking for new homes.

The Dakotas
Montana
Alaska
Chicago & Oakbrook should be separated...

I hear a lot of providers travel there & much needed board need to be put into place... Not everyone knows how to navigate thru TER...

Post on the S&P board, if you want new regional boards. We can debate there. Not here :)
That goes for you too, Kelly.;)

The only reason I posted my OP here announcing the new boards, is because there are a lot of new people joining TER from the now defunct site and many come to the newbie board, and several have asked about regional boards for their areas (such as Sacramento). I thought by posting here at least some of them would read my post and discover they do have a home now. :)

My OP was not meant to start a discussion on the newbie board about other regional boards.

You're right that there's little activity on these boards.  But I can attest that at least one of them is still valuable.  There was a lot of activity in the hobby in this region several years ago.  Then some very unfortunate LE activity caused many hobbyists, both m&f, to go utr.  Understandable. But I check the Ad Board very frequently due to limited opportunities here.  So don't assume the Hobby is dead just because a regional board is mostly inactive.  It might be even more valuable to the locals than before.
