Perhaps it is time for us hobbyists to band together and agree to see only providers priced at $300 or less. Certainly, we will see a few hobbyists scoff at this idea, as well as several providers who oppose the notion (be it a direct post, or using an alias, and posing as a hobbyist), but it might show the agencies and high priced locals that there are MANY of us who will not spend more than $300.
The economy isn't on a steep upswing. Rates shouldn't be either. (here's the obligatory disclaimer. Providers are free to charge what they wish).
Put me on the list! I certify that I will not see providers priced above $300.

It is nice that you send a lovely lady to visit us here in Mpls. The problem that I see personally and have heard from many other hobbyists is that when the price point is WELL above the average for locals and travelers. It usually does not correspond to a Well above average time spent with the lady.
I don't want to open up the price can of worms again but will state my opinion: The lady will be much busier at a price point of $$$ than $$$$. many hobbyists will not spend above $$$. Not because of price but Principle.

Well put Godfather.
To add one more point to the higher than normal price. I have paid over the going rate before, BUT only if there are AMAZING reviews or I have seen the provider before. (Samantha comes to mind from Window of Elegance) Granted I did have an awesome time with Brook from Apres Vous last year and the agency is highly regarded..
Jenna looks great! But I see not one review. And we will have Sabrina Lynn and Drew in town next week that are both $100 less expensive, WITH some great reviews.

Much of the price debate has sounded like provider-bashing... I've tried to completely avoid those threads where that tone developed.
But this is a very fair way of presenting the argument...
In 7-card stud, you're welcome to raise anytime you want, that's your right. But when the guy next to you is showing 3 aces up? When you have any number of highly regarded locals at $$-$$.5 and some serious aces in town--and both Sabrina and Drew are undisputed aces--at $$$. It's fair for a hobbyist to say "what are you thinking?" without it being a rip or being anti-provider.
Count me in as one who won't go above $300 unless there are exceptional reasons to do so.
