You all have given much to think over when I host the next lunch.  This was a minor, yet understandable, speedbump.

Life goes on.  All is forgiven and, soon, forgotten.  No matter how much we try to wrest control of our plans and desires, we don't always get what we want or need.  I want perfection, but I've forgotten what perfection was.  I wanted a packed house,, but that wasn't the most important.  I saw a number of social virgins, venturing out of their comfort zone to meet others.  I cannot say what their motivation was, but I don't think I was the object of.attention, haha.  I think back on the event, saw people from all over, come together and have a meal together.  No strings attached.  Just friends whom I am fortunate to have met on this wild journey.

I hope you will take a step back and see the awesomeness of what transpires on a daily basis, let alone the lunch itself.  I had a great meal, exchanged a few playful flirts, and  established and nurtured bonds of friendship.  If this isn't what you are looking for, then maybe these events aren't for you.  I cannot control who shows up on any given day, but I am happy when new and familiar faces make it.

To those good friends who offered monetary compensation, your kindness will be remembered.  I cannot acceptcash, but I will accept the gesture in support of our community.
