Someone made a movie about him a few years ago. I saw it on video. His single claim to fame is (or was?) his ability to get an erection on cue, which makes the production of low budget porno films much easier. I'm in the process of starting an adult movie production company and we've had to cancel the first 2 filmings because the men didn't show. I'm past the point in my life of standing in, but it's still difficult to believe that a guy wouldn't be early to get laid AND paid. You do encounter a different breed in this business, or at least that's been my experience so far.
As an aside, we're trying to find men that women (customers) will find appealing, and have a plot to most of the scripts. I'd appreciate feedback on those ideas.

...your one conjecture was correct. As I understand it, the powers that be in porn reasoned that Ron "troglodyte" Jeremy had appeal because he was so repulsive. The thinking was if you have a scene where a breath-takingly beautiful woman gets laid by him, then every poor, downright-ugly male driven to porn as their only sexual outlet would feel they had some hope, or at least be given a proxy for their fantasy. And that most guys in that position liked to feel like they had an unrecognized somewhat hidden assets to them, which in porn couldn't be depicted better than Jeremy's giant cock.
(Added to it the fact that the male star right then just wasn't considered that important in porn. Jeremy was willing to work on anything, probably for cheap, and would show up on time. I notice that it seems that anytime a woman really took charge of a production, like Hyapatia Lee, Brandy Alexander or Annie Sprinkle are said to have done, Jeremy doesn't seem to appear. Evidence that they were, at least somewhat, really in charge.)

You should feel sorry for the fledgling porn actress, they are getting screwed in many ways. First, they are expendable, there are many hot young girls willing to get pumped in front of a camera, also, the porn kings are scouring the world to find beautiful young women in eastern europe that will do the hardest core porn for peanuts. Second, there are too few women porn producers, so young women breaking into the business do not have older role models that they can talk to on the set.
All one has to do is look at some of the sites that offer dates with porn stars. How many men do you see offering themselves up? Have you ever seen the top male stars like Peter North offering themselves to any person with the funds to spend time with them?

You write that like its a bad thing? seems to me that the women are extending the life of their fame on a level that the men cannot. The truth is, I don't care what a man's dick or personality was like - I wouldn't pay to spend time with him - and most women wouldn't. No matter how beautiful or ugly a woman is, she can get laid any saturday night at almost any bar in america - and that's not the case with men....so my thought is that this is a market segment that women porn stars are exploiting - men don't do it because the demand just isn't there.

I do not get deeply involved in porn other than from viewing it from a business perspective. I think escorting in many cases is much more empowering for women then porno. They're much more free as to who they see, the hours they work, their donation schedule, travel, etc. I've seen comaprisons of women doing porn work and escorting when in fact they are very dissimilar activities in a number of ways.
