Sswede - I posted a similar problem a while back. Received feedback that I should never use work phone, home phone, personal cell phone, work cell phone...  Well that is great advice, but for some of us that only leaves the option of buying a seperate cell phone, which I think may be a bigger risk by itself. I prefer doing everything by email, which works great with Syd's and MC, but does not work with BDJ or some of my favorite local agencies.

We are taking a chance by using work or home phones, and will have to blame our selves for consequences, but that does not mean that providers who call back unsolicited should get off without taking responsibilty for their actions. So I appreciate you providing the name of the agency. My situation was a little different. I called two agencies just to see if someone I wanted was available. Both times I did not get an answer and hung up without leaving a message. Both agencies called back and fortunately I was the one to pick up the phone, don't know if they were going to leave a message. The agencies were BDJ, which I use often and like, and Ms. Veroniques Command Performance, which I still haven't used.

Had a very disturbing message left on my phone the other night from a local agency. The agency has a good reputation in town but I feel this cannot be ignored. The woman left a message after getting my number from caller ID.(I did not give her my number) She offered information on a woman I had called to inquire about earlier in the day and asked I call back to make an appointment. After posting this story on the National TER Board requesting imput I received amost universal comments to "out" her. The fact that this person would leave such a message completely unsolicited which could have some very bad
ramifications for many I think needs to be exposed. People need to be aware of this to make a decision on how best or if to contact them.
So here goes. The agency is Sexy Girls of DC.

I had a similar experience with CP, FEI.

I've also noticed that several of their ladies have recently changed their names; i.e. Catalina was Catherine & Lindsay, Morgan A was Alessi.  Sure do miss Michelle thought.

You are definatly not wrong for being a bit disturbed. If you dont leave a message it is for a reason. Very inconsiderate to call you back and LEAVE A MESSAGE without knowing if it is okay or not. Sorry you went threw this dear. We all are not like this.

Just a suggestion though, next time you call a provider or service and message comes on just say what time is okay  if you want a callback or that it is NOT okay for them to return call to number on their caller ID.

Sorry again...Definatly could have turned bad if message wound up in wrong hands.

I don't know if I agree with outing the agency, but again that was your choice. The call may have been harmless. You probably should have called them and told them your feeings about the phone call. If they don't know that its broke, how can they fix it? If no one makes them aware that this is a problem then they will continue to do it. Someone needs to bring it to their attention, so that they stop doing it. If they read the boards, then that will not be a problem. If they do not read the boards, then I would suggest giving them a call and letting them know your feelings. Good Luck!

Perhaps you may wish to purchase an AT&T Wal-mart Calling Card at just 5 cents a minute?
If you make all your hobbying-related calls using that card, from a cell phone, office phone, or wherever, only a 800 number shows up on any bill, and only a generic area code and number show up on the other end of your call, not your cell, work number, etc.
This protects the privacy of the ladies and the agencies, as they never have to worry that any SO may read a cell or home bill, and call their numbers.
And it protects your privacy, as you never have to worry about a lady or agency calling any of your numbers at an inappropriate time.
Hope this helps you some!

dc!

Thanks dcmann, I think I will try it. A little bit of a hassle, but better than the alternatives.
