at that rate, all she needs is one or two clients a month and her bills are paid. Insanity? I think not -just pricing herself out of your market (and most of ours).

You can be rest assured that somewhere some fool will gladly pay that rate and in the process drive up the rates for the rest of us. The irony is that he won't necessarily have to be "rich" to do it either, just a fool.
But eventually these outrageous prices will self-adjust after the PSE boom has gone bust and the dust has settled. And the beauty is then these girls will have to deal with folks like us (their regulars) and our demands will once again dictate the price.
I don't think I need to give examples of girls who are now charging half what they charged couple of years ago.
Teri and others like her consider themselves "stars" and "celebrities" who are banking on their industry status to justify their rates. Clearly it is NOT because they offer anything way and beyond what your average highly-rated GFE++ would provide (some of these pornstars offer even less!)
In keeping with that analogy (and putting aside the sex) it would be good to consider that even a flash-in-the-pan celebrity like J-lo is now charging $750K/hr for an appearance (obviously just that, an appearance, say at a corporate function or hollywood promotional party).
Do you think that 2-3 years from now she can still command those rates (assuming she is just a flash-in-the-pan)? A while back Elizabeth Shue (Leaving Las Vegas) was the hot new arrival. With an Oscar nod, over a dozen best actress awards, she was THE hollywood princess 5-6 years ago. I don't think anyone here would argue that J-Lo could even begin to touch her when it comes to acting.
Nowadays Elizabeth is lucky if she can get offered a good script for a TV miniseries. That's how hollywood works. And the more pornstars think and act "hollywood" the more they risk being treated as such.
The analogy I've given is not perfect and for those of you who are about to jump down my throat to point out the various details of how Elizabeth is not a J-Lo, spare your energy. My post is just meant to draw a sketch to make a point. And if you still don't get the point, then go ahead and burn your money.
Well to begin with, I can count at least five "pornstars" on TER who go for less than $600 (some as low as $300) who were once listed on BM or E2K for $1200+ (some are still listed at that price!). Take away the agency's % and there you have it - well, part of it.
As for the other half, well let's just say out of respect for the other ladies and their earning potential I can not divulge any names. But what I stated above is a matter of public domain - at least for anyone willing to do a bit of HOMEWORK.
