YMMV. A 9 is still an experience ALMOST as good as your best ever, and an 8 is still HOT. Perhaps she's a "unique" kind of beauty.
A 7/7 is a good time. Anything better is gravy. In looking at scores, I don't want to see wide swings, down into the 1-2-3 zones.
Too easily or are manipulated by the 10/10 seeking ladies.
An 8/9 should be considered an excellent score! Even a 7/7 should be a pretty good score. Now a 6/6 is what I consider mediocre. A 10/10 is supposed to be one in a lifetime. How many lifetimes do some people have?

That's basically how I see it, too. Maybe I would say that 8/7 was mediocre, but that's just nitpicking.
I guess when women have a string of 10/10's and I grade a digit or two lower, I have an afterthought that maybe I was being too harsh or had offended the provider without meaning to.
You are letting THEM dictate what kind of a score YOU are giving. Your reviews should reflect your experiences, not just rubber stamp the opinion of the guy/s before you.
When you give a woman a 10/10 who hasn't earned it, you are doing your fellow mongers a disservice and are further corrupting a system that is already being badly manipulated by the whole "top 100" race. The biggest favor TER could do for us is to eliminate the "top" lists altogether.
those of us who do not manipulate our scores look bad in comparison to the the girls that do.
I recently saw a girl refer to an 8/8 as "crappy." Unbelievable.

It cheapens everything they/you do, when some average looking woman who provides a rather lackluster session, but still gets a 10/10, if I were a lady in this business I would be thinking to myself WTF???!!!
don't make decisions based on numbers but on what I read or find out from others.
So, yeah, high end girls consider it a mediocre score. It also shows their MO on how some of them earned their inflated reviews: go BSC on any guy who writes an honest review
A very close provider friend of mine who has plenty of reviews does not get upset with 7's for either. Look at the ratings list, even 7 is not that bad. If she is upset over that kind of rating, suggest you don't see her again.

What could be wrong with those
I don't see the reason for the obsession though. I never had all 9s and 10s and I retired with a 9 overall and a rate of 1000. If my 7s and 8s would have forced me to slum it at 250 or so hell yes I would have been pissed, but if the scores under a 10 within reason don't affect your bottom line, then it's purely for vanity reasons to get upset about it.
Only a seriously insecure person would gripe about an 8 in looks if it does not force her to drop her rate.

I READ the profile: Are her pictures REAL?
I LOOK at the pictures: Do I like what I see? Is she hiding part of her body? Taken in total, do I know what she looks like nude?
I READ the reviews: Does she offer the services I want? (Might be different than others.) I want to see consistency in the reviews. Wide swings make me question if they are real, If she only clicks with some who are 'her type'. Low numbers only make it obvious where to Read Carefully... sometimes low scores are explained by the reviewer... "was having a bad day but saw her anyway" OR "she wasn't my type or didn't advertise my services but I went anyway & now am disappointed" WFT?) I drop explained poor results / one per page of reviews.
I think inflated scores do no one any favors. She may think they do but in reality they create an artificially high expectation that can Not be fulfilled.
Then I decide if I am interested or not.
If I see consistent 10/10, I'd be very suspect that something is not quite right.
Show me a lady with consistent 8's and 9's? I'm all over her. I want to check her out. I bet she's got a fantastic, normal, down to earth attitude and she's a passionate lover.
I love it when I see 10/10 and the reviewer has a total of two reviews, and they both are 10's. HA!
I expect minor variations in perception when you bring together 2 unique individuals into a unique coupling. It ought to vary a bit.
