So I took my first step today and while I was somewhat reserved, my provider was perfect in dealing with my basket of nerves. I left her a positive review, as she was nothing but the most positive of an experience.

However, I don't see my review posted. What is the typical lag involved with a very positive post actually showing up?

It can take up to 48 hrs for a review to be approved and posted

...It's what they say in the standard message when things are submitted. The reality is it could be an hour or it could be a week. I've experienced both of those plus any time frame you choose in between.

You being a newbie it may take a little longer. If the provider is also a newbie TER may hold it until she gets another one or you submit another one.

You can check the status by going to the My TER tab or the account manager (upper right). Click on either of those. Look upper left and click on My Reviews. Then look far right under "status". If it says new they haven't posted it yet. Approved means it's posted. Whatever else it might say is accompanied by an explanation.

every time I submit a very long review,  they took forever to approve it.

when short it took anywhere from less than an hour to a few days.
