Hello,
I just wanted to alert folks to a scam that someone tried to pull on me the other day in New York when I was visiting a provider (TS Alani) at a hotel.

I called Alani and she gave me her room number.  When I arrived at the floor of her room, a guy was at the elevator lobby and asked me if I was going to see Alani.  I said yes.  He then kinda walked with me holding a bunch of cash asking to be paid in advance, saying that that's the way they do it in Las Vegas and so on and so forth.  I told him that the provider had not told me of this kind of arrangement. Then, he said that he would call her to "confirm."  Smelling a scam, I said that I have not agreed to this and I took the elevator back to the lobby and I left.

When I was a couple blocks away I called Alani, and she told me that that guy had absolutely nothing to do with her!!

The scammer-guy had earlier talked to Alani and her friend in the lobby, and he had decided to play this scam to their clients!!!  Alani had no idea that this was going on.

I went back a few minutes later, the guy was gone and Alani was very nice and we had an awesome session.

So, this is something that both providers and fans should be aware of.  These scammers are not associated with anyone...!!  Be careful!!
