God created 'tobacco road'. HAHA

My loyalties will always be with the ACC BABY!!!! Everything else is junior varsity.

Problem is two fold:

You know i made TWO wagers;

Notre Dame $200(+10,000) in one ladies name
West Virginia $500(+ 1000) in my S/O's name. Guess who she will be rooting for RIGHT NEXT TO ME.

I will be keeping my mouth shut and just enjoying the games.

You know very well Rob that Duke can't play inside with WV. So what will they do??

I'll be rooting for Mich. St. because WV can't defend Butler's penchant for the trifecta.

We're not necessarily on different sides of any fence but if WV loses SOMEONE may come looking for ya'. ;-)  If I were you, i'd MAKE myself easy to find :-D.

although with three minutes left I thought I was wrong again.
Hard to believe Duke's best player could go oh for 10 and Duke still win.

Duke v. West Virginia? - all you need to know is that any college that can't understand a John Denver song (it's "Almost heaven, west Virginia," not West Virgina -check your map as to where the Blue Ridge mountains lay and the Shendoah River flows-and have you ever been to West Virginia?) will never beat Duke!

Well, poor Kyle Singler was a no show today, but Nolan Smith and Scheyer and the rest got it done. Baylor certainly has a good team and had a great tournament-Big dumb move on Acey's part to try to play bad ass by bumping Smith-That certainly removed any chance Baylor had-Anyhow, OSP, You're my ACC bro but I guess we're on opposite sides of the fence this Saturday-due to financial considerations, of course. grin You know I'll be pulling for you if "Almost heaven" upsets my boys.
I must say I really got screwed bet wise this weekend. The Cats got me and a fighter I had 5 big ones on KO's his opponent who had slipped and was on his knees in front of him. He gets DQ'ed and I get the shaft. Rat turds!   Oh, Well, later gang--1rob...smiling Blue Devil fan...making bookies happy since 2001...OUT  8-)

I do believe Duke, with the Big Z and the Plumlees, can play inside with the Mountaineers. Z can't throw it in the ocesn and was stuffed so many times yesterday he may have 'Spalding' forever imprinted on his forehead; however, he is a big space eater in the paint and is a major force from a rebounding standpoint. The Plumlees do give a little offense and are decent rebounders, although all 3 have Clydesdale speed-smile. Duke plays good 3 point D and won't shoot 4 for 32 or O for 20 from 3 point land as the Baby Cats did (though my boy Kyle Singler was working on it yesterday-lol) or play matador defense inside as was in vogue with KY-WVU is certainly more athletic than the Devils-but so is everyone else-Looking forward to an outstanding game....I note a lot less 'background noise' on the board in recent days....and do they hate us because we're beautiful? ha ha  Later, My Buddy-1rob....OUT   8-)

I thought they were better than Louisville in '86 when Ellison got them and also in '99 against UConn when they had 4 1st round NBA draft choices-Brand, Avery, Maggette and Langdon-their most talented team ever, IMHO-Coach K, whom I love, blew that one when he had Trajan Langdon, who was a great spot up shooter and little else, bring up the ball TWICE in the last minute with the game on the line-the best defensive player in the country was on him and Langdon-whom I deemed 'Tragic' Langdon ever since, whose ball handling skills are on a par with a one armed paper hanger, had the ball stolen on both occasions and UCONN won the game. Sadly, I was there. But Langdon was asked to do something he was not equipped to do by K, who wanted his senior to do it. I think Coach learned from this and also in the elite 8 in 98 against Kentucky, when Duke was up 17. Tubby Smith brought in some kid, who lit up Wojo like a Vegas strip club sign. K wouldn't take Wojo out despite the fact he was being beaten like a rented mule and the Devils lost the lead and the game. I think Wojo still has scorch marks on his face he was 'toasted' so badly. smile  Anyhow, this is not a great Duke team, but they play well together, play really good D, which is their forte, can shoot the 3-usually- and the players know and perform their roles well. Things have fallen into place for them this tournament and I'm hoping they take advantage. Later, 1rob

....wait till Saturday!!!!....lol!

The Prince of Death (well if I pick you as the favorite...lol!)

Rob, I think that was Wayne Turner that made Wojo his "bitch" that night! LOL! Last I heard, Wayne was playing for the Globetrotters. About time for Wojo to get a head coaching job isn't it? Always liked him as a player.

though I tried to forget Wayne Turner as soon as I could-smile-I know Wojo would like to forget him-I like him too and wish him the best, when he does move on. And Ghostie, sounds like your betting weekend mirrored mine-Duke was my only winner with the Cats and my DQ'd boxer sucking my wallet dry-We'll be back!!! Later, Guys, 1rob...OUT  8-)
