END OF MESSAGE

I have more than 1 account here.  Obvious reasons around privacy, etc.  that I won't get into. Apparently we can only set up 1 alias on an account so having more than 1 account is an option for certain issues.   I provided a review using Account A (long ago), and recently another review of the same provider using Account B.  I did this for various reasons but mostly for privacy and for some sensitivities.

TER noticed this I suspect by noting my IP address and sent me an email about "double reviews" and said they are not allowed. I guess I missed that (even though they were 2 different visits) but understand and also replied with my reasons. That account was closed however with no reply.

I really like this site so as a suggestion of utility and usability I kindly suggest that TER either allow that option or provide more aliases. There are many reasons one may want to review the same provider from different accounts but mostly involving privacy which I assume most are fond of.

Thank you!

...you need to. You can review under your handle as well. But there is no reason to write two reviews for the same provider one using an alias and one using your handle and have them both accessible. From two different accounts even worse. It smacks of deception. It could be seen as shilling fo her to build her reputation. I'm not saying that's what you're doing but the appearance of impropriety isn't a good thing as regards the credibility of TER and the reviews found here.

You're going to have to give a better explanation than you have so far in order for me to even briefly consider considering your idea worthy of consideration.

Edited to add: It is acceptable to review a provider a second time but the first one is then removed. That's as it should be.

To be clear... they were 2 different visits (separated by much time) and without getting into specifics (you may be able to imagine some), I needed to use another handle.
I understand the implication of building a reputation but she had lots of other reviews.

Aw well....

...however your one alias would have worked as well as two accounts. Your one alias can be changed after a TER specified period of time. Simply changing to a new alias when needed (since there was considerable time between sessions/reviews) would suffice.

I didn't know you can change an Alias.
Would I lose (or provider) lose reviews under that alias?

I had a reason NOT to use the alais... alas another account...

...when those reviews are of different providers. I know you can request to have your alias changed after a TER specified amount of time. (Frankly am not sure what that time frame is.) I don't know if you can have reviews under more than one alias. I would think if you had reviewed a provider previously under your handle and then later reviewed her under your alias your first review of her would still be replaced by the second since the account is the same.

I would think if there were no reviews under your present alias then you could have requested an alias change and used that alias to review her. Your first review of her would have still been replaced but your desire for anonymity would have been fulfilled.

I don't know if alias reviews are counted with the reviews written under a handle or if they are counted separately. However you wouldn't lose any reviews as far as your total count is concerned. The provider wouldn't lose any but the newest would replace the previous. (If she had 40 reviews before she would still have 40 reviews.)

Maybe someone else can chime in here.

Guys do that all the time. I've had a few due to many bair changes. I was long blonde, to short platinum blonde, to short dark brown, to longer dark brown.

Some people like to switch around their reviews to update her looks, since a lot can change in three - six months. Also, one updated a one hour review to a full day review. He had to fight a little for that one, but...

I think the gap has to be three months, just as the initial review can't be more than three months ago.

otherwise this place would be like Beyond Thunderdome.

But I wish TER would go back to an unlimited number of aliases as was the case years ago before the new owners took over.

I used lots of aliases then and would again, mostly for comedic purposes, but there were other times that an alias was needed to protect the innocent, so to speak.

I never understood the reason for not allowing that to remain
