Does anyone know how TER handle the security of it's customer's data? With the recent hack
of Ashley Madison, TER should be concern. TER does not even encrypt the username and password
when you log in. You can tell because the website does not have the "lock" symbol or "https".

Should we be concern???

...TER General Boards menu. It was open to everyone while it was on the drop down.
It's now not available at all.

Whatever method or methods TER or any other site that uses the internet for business transactions will never be explained.  We can only hope that they are proactive in protecting their network.

Is there cause to be concerned? Are you concerned about data from your bank? Your health insurance? etc. If data is accessible via the internet, then the possibility exists of it being compromised.

Just look at what's occurred in the last few months regarding hackers accessing govt networks

While it would suck to have your bank account hacked, the bank would likely be liable. If TER accounts were exposed, there would be more fallout.

The link appears to be to a private/invite only board so can't see TER's response.
