Just as any business owner faces those costs involved in running their business, the same principle applies to your favorite young lady, or anyone out there offering like, independent services.  Without  reinvestment mandates in order to offer you our service, it is not possible to be successful.

Perhaps this aspect is not realized by many, or some of its components weren't obvious to others, but the following is a breakdown of the most common reinvestment requirements of your favorite competitive opportunities out there, by which are a general correlation to their cost, in respect to the level and quality of service she provides:

1)  hotel and/or location expenses:  office space is leased by even big corporations, in order to provide the space required for its product or service, based upon its demand and location
2)  routine cleaning/housekeeping and/or maintenance of that location:  whether achieved through one's self or the hiring of an outside service
3)  items of necessity used at that location:  ie towels, refreshments, toiletries, electricity, water/sewage, entertainment (videos, music, toys, etc), candles/incense, paper products, personal health protection items, etc
4)  laundering and/or dry-cleaning of some of those items:  ie towels, sheets, carpets, clothing, etc
5)  transportation:  for travel or transport to their own location; whether it be utilizing a transportation service (ie taxi, private car, train, plane, bus, etc), or in leasing/car payments; which then requires gas, service maintenance, replacement parts, insurance, annual registration, emissions requirements, depreciation, etc... this is a mandatory, wide-spectrum expense (dependent upon the individual) of everyone living in cities with unfriendly walk-scores, such as ours
6)  cell phones, computers (and online counterparts), GPS gadgets, and/or anything corresponding to communication venues for typical operation
7)  monthly charges required to access service of those communication devices:  ie cell phone bills, Internet service, etc
8)  regular maintenance required of general appearance/beauty... not everyone possesses the talent to manage their own hairstyles and color maintenance, acrylic nails, spray tanning, facials, hair-extensions... each individual case differs:  ie gym memberships, tanning sessions, waxing, hair salons, nail/spa services, surgical enhancement and/or maintenance... again, differs per individual; and if you don't believe beauty is a woman's enhanced effort, render a supermodel homeless, then report back to me in a month
9)  regular health checkups to ensure a clean, disease-free community
10)  replacement of expendable items:  makeup, hosiery, wardrobe, accessories, etc
11)  advertising:  directly proportionate to the income market one is accustomed to...  someone once said, "You can't afford to NOT advertise!"
12)  time spent on public relations:  anything from the individual time taken to obtain appointments, to actual bookings; via Email, texting, phone, precursor meetings... whatever is required; everyone here is in one way or another compensated for their time involved with public relations
13)  time required of screening:  by various research methods, networking for references, or whatever measures one applies in procuring their own safety... BTW, IS A DIRECT REFLECTION OF YOUR OWN SAFETY AS WELL, WHENEVER IN HER PRESENCE (despite whose turf)
14)  the time and effort involved with replacing the income of projected appointments, as a result of cancellations and rescheduling:  many of your favorite ladies schedule up to only one booking per day, making an economic impact upon their compensation realm, when lost or redirected, as a result of cancellations and/or rescheduling
15)  the cost of current photo shoots and all involved within it, and/or video production (a common expense preventing many from updating their current profiles)
16)  the fees for building websites and oftentimes the maintenance of its publication, plus its yearly domain hosting fees; credit card service fees for those offering this form of payment; or anything involved with the production of a credible online service and/or image (none of which is cheap, for #14 and #15)
17)  taxes paid, usually in a one-lump sum (yes, some of us DO pay taxes!)
18)  the salary paid to those having hired an assistant
19)  the mandatory percentage confiscated by the pimp -- NO I'M JUST KIDDING!  Just an attempt to reward anyone with my twisted humor, who may have read this far!!!!
19)  the cost of risk involvement:  on behalf of potential actions being misconstrued by the authorities as being of an illegal act; sometimes this may involve attorney retainer fees, just in case; as with any job, the higher the risk...

This is a standard review of the general cost in providing service to you, and in no way applies as exact requirements or measurements to all who offer it (though 90-95% of this list qualifies as expenses for each of us to be successful).  And it's most likely I have overlooked some expenses required, in which case, feel free to add them with your replies.  I may not even be aware of some which do not directly affect me.

And while it's true many of us do this merely for the fun of it and/or its opportunities involved that wouldn't otherwise have been obtainable, still you can bet that likewise, ALL of us do it for the compensation in addition... otherwise, despite what anyone thinks or claims, you'd only see our ads through various dating/hookup sites, as explicit in uncompensated offerings as those ads may be.  And IMO, it is a vast misconception that has us stereotyped of "rollin' in the dough"... at least not true for those who started doing this in under 7 years ago - equivalent to about the time our economy began to plummet.  And for that reason, the market also counterbalanced a flood in supply, while simultaneously, demand went down due to a cut in budget allowances.  Of course there are some providers who managed to establish an affluent income, by way of keen business approach in a once-healthy market, and/or their timing for entering the industry and its duration by this point, and/or in the ability to establish high-end clientele through great business dynamics in that flourishing market... but this certainly does not apply to the majority (of us newcomers), and is no different than how any industry in the US has evolved in relation to the current cost of living.  This is certainly not a new niche service, nor is it associated with stellar technology, and therefore fits the same norm as any other business structure's financial state in this day and age.  Every man and woman here wants to earn a living, or at least supplement their income in some form...

So if it is the case that anyone finds the rates of a service provider's to be refutable, or deems in negotiating its worth... perhaps they may want to consider the impact of underbidding unto their own efforts at their own job... or perhaps they need to lower their standards to a quality of service which is more comfortable within their budget... or they can perhaps seek this service through an agency, but that's counterproduction for already including these costs... or perhaps they should attempt to attain those very services within their own options at home - which most likely instigated the need for these services offered to begin with.  Whatever the case, every service within every industry out there made available to us, is based upon a rate composed of the costs required in order to offer it, and of course, an influence based upon its demand, just to name a couple.  I hope this helps to clear up any ambiguity that may go along with that possible wonder.  Now "play ball!" :D

Some of us out here need a reminder every once in a while that there is business involved. In my experience, of course, I've never enjoyed our time more and always walked away grateful. Shoot, under the right circumstances, I'd marry you and pay a lot more! Love ya!  ;-)

...to give us guys a fantasy come true encounter. We don't always consider the behind the scenes things ladies do to provide a high quality experience.

I think this should be required reading for anyone (both sides of the desk) as a reminder of what goes into the business.
No matter what degree of experience in sales one has, an occasional review of the basics always keeps one grounded and back to the basics.

(and I didn't want to embarrass myself by admitting to this publicly, but I can't go on letting TER look like the culprits here, as it first appeared...) I infringed upon the policy of posting by adding my website link to the post... THAT'S why it was considered to be an ad and I see that now.  So looks like I'M the actual jack-ass here...

My apologies to everyone and TER.
