Your post prompted me to try something. I created a folder for...

...PMs of someone I communicate with.  Then I moved those emails to the newly-created folder.  I should say that I TRIED to move them because I received an error notice on two of the four I tried moving.

Creating individual folders for PMs from different people can be a way for you to sort them without having to search through your inbox.  I may try to do it if I don't get a lot of error notices because I have way too many PMs in my inbox to go through efficiently.

UPDATE: I've created eight folders using handles to label them.  The folders are listed by TER in alphabetical order.

I think the reason I got the "Error" message before was because I didn't select the folder before clicking "Move."  Oops.

You can also move PMs from your "Sent" folder to the created folder for the same person.  This may help in seeing the chronological order of correspondence.

One weird thing for Classic TER users:  You can move PMs from your Inbox or Sent Mail to the folders but you can't create new folders anymore.  You can only create folders using New TER.

While in our mail box, it would be easier if we could just search by name. Sometimes people have mailed us in the long ago past or on and off over a period of time and we want to see what we have received from the handle.

Much easier than scrolling through our inbox and outbox looking for every pm by that user. Some of us would be going through years of pms that are not just work related, but pming other members to chat. It can be a big task in these circumstances. Some ladies get a huge amount of pms daily and are not always appt related.

If a guy contacts me to meet, of course I would want to see any prior pms I have gotten from them. Sometimes it may have been a few years. It is good to be able to find all prior pms to get a feel of the person you are talking to.

And I seconded it may times. Yes please make mail searchable in general (like all email programs) search by sender, search by subject, search by keyword...

I agree, as I have thousands of PM's in my inbox and finding any one PM  would take hours the way things are now.
