Here's an interesting article (from the Reno newspaper of all places) about Metro Vice video taping arrests. Seems that the video tapes are only used for "training purposes" and Metro's position is that they are not needed for evidence.
My question: If it's a "good bust" wouldn't they want to use a video tape for evidence?
I wonder if this includes the ones we see on "Cops"?

a reliable source in Vegas I heard from while discussing this topic.
They work in pairs and it's not known if they are taping it or not -- but from the discussion I heard it was not,and even if it was -- there wasn't much to go by in terms of evidence because most of the plying was done by one party and it was not done by the girl from the internet. She was only interested in eating dinner, the venue was all wrong. The guy got up to go to men's room in public place, and asked her to meet her outside. When she went out of dining area his accomplish was hiding in like a phone booth or something and they both took the sweet innocent girl away - in public place no less. This is very unfortunate and I hope she wins and I hope they pay for her lawyer fees...because this was so unfair.
