I've experienced a similar thing

It comes on within one day, the symptoms are usually mild, usually a soreness and swollen feeling in my throat with some congestion with coughing or sneezing and a slight, weak feverishness, especially if I've indulged in heavy DATY.  It's usually gone in another day.

Since it hits me faster than any infection could work (sometimes within a few hours), and its always milder or gone on the second or third time I see her, I've chalked it up to my own immune response.
Why wouldn't there be an immune response?

I already take vitamins, along with a lot of other suppliments, so I could tell you those aren't going to help.  You just have to treat the symptoms when they occur, I suggest antihistamines,  painkillers, and decongestants.

I hobby though not super regularly...just came back from seeing a great provider on the other side of the Atlantic but I have the same problem here in the US.  Simply put, I get either a bad cold or even the flu within days after seeing a provider about 70% of the time.  It makes sense-she has lots of direct contact with several if not many people, and I have contact with her.  My question is, do other hobbiest notice this or should I start taking vitamins?

Every autumn and after each vacation they go back to school and get instantly sick from the germ ridden children.  But then they're immune to anything all the rest of the quarter.  If they never took a vacation they would never get sick!

If you stop taking such a long break between dates you'd never get sick and you'd never get cancer.  Infact, satistics show that if you dated a different woman everyday you'd never die.  You'd be immortal.
But right now you're too sensitive to unfamilar orifices (or is it "orifi"?)  You'll live much longer if you go on more dates.

Tons of Vitamin c and a bunch of minerals and developed by a school teacher.
Might be the placebo effect, but I think it's helped me on a couple of occasions where I got that scratchy throat before the cold~~~then never got the cold

Take your vitamims + extra C,zinc and eccinacia as a precaution and get plenty of rest. If you've been traveling and partying it's no suprise to me you're getting sick. Planes are flying petri dishes, they recycle their air so if someone on the plane is sick you're eventually going to be breathing their germs if airboune. Wash your hands frequently and don't touch your face, nose or eyes.

...except onions and cold. They'll kill me every time.

Oh... and bullets... and maybe sharp, pointy things...

when  i feel a cold coming on i take  a lot of garlic + gatorade.   you need to drink a lot of liquids when you're sick and  gatorade is absorbed a little bit quicker by the body because of the salt/sugar/electrolytes.  the garlic kills bacteria and viruses.  here are some links that explain the science behind it.  you can also google of course.  these aren't the best links.  but they explain a little.

i wouldn't spend money on echinacea and zinc or combination type things.  vitamin c, which was mentioned above does work but you need to take it to tolerance.  10,000+ miligrams (generallly 10 horse size pills an hour).

I find my groin area aches for a day or two after.  It is directly related to the physical movement of sex, and nothing more.  The first few times it happened, I of course was worried about traditional STD's, but after I went to the doc, and confirmed nothing was there, it hit me that it was the physical movement doing it.

Kind of like when you do any physical activity that you normally do not do.

Oh well..

Zinc and vitamin c can help try products like Airborn, zicam, and coldeze. Also simply getting enough sleep and not being stressed out will help you body's emune system to fight off infections.

I'm 57 and going through the 60's and 70's I only experienced the odd flu/virus but as someone else said aeroplanes are petri dishes. With the advent of people flying to other countries for holidays they mixed with people from different countries and all can be traced to the fact that in growing up we gradually develop immunities to the virus endemic to our country and take part of them with us when we travel as do other people but their viruses are different to ours and in closed circulation the viruses mix and sometimes mutate into something we have no natural immunity to.
I guess some of these scare films will eventually come true though I hope it is well after I have lived my full and mostly healthy life.
I'm not trying to be racist or anything but it seems most of the real terrors come out of poor third world countries that do not have the health systems that we take for granted in our own country. And the best way forward would be to provide funds and aid to bring their health systems and education up to scratch but rhen how do you deal with the corrupt governments, send in the troops to topple them????????
