I like Priceline

I have used Hotwire before, but usually do better on Priceline.  Use the express deals if you don't want the "name your own price" hassles.  It gives you the same type of booking experience, but I usually find better deals.  The only thing is I am not aware of the ability to block certain hotels.  The other day I booked a beautiful hotel in Tampa for $50.00/day.

I've tried every online travel/hotel/booking website imaginable for several years. At this time, NOTHING compares to Hotwire for amazing hotel deals.
I put in the date and area I want to stay and they give a list of "named" hotels and "unnamed" hotels.  The "unnamed" are usually ridiculous bargains, at least in my area.  You're not given the name until you book and pay online for your stay, but you are given the star rating beforehand.
If you sign up with them(not a requirement), you can also eliminate a hotel from the choices presented in the unnamed category in the future, if you booked through Hotwire and had an unsatisfactory experience.
Another feature I like: when you're given the list of results for your requested area and dates, you can scroll down the hotel list and there should be a box to request "watch this trip". That means they will email you, if the rate lowers before you book your trip.
I'll give you an example of the bargains I've been made aware of recently. Hotwire hotel in JWA(Orange County, CA airport) vicinity. Dates: 01/12/13 through 01/14/13, four-star hotel=$55.00 per night. Total for 2 nights with taxes and "fees" $129.99.  Fabulous!
Always be aware that parking and Wi-Fi fees are usually extra(why do the 3 stars and under, offer free Wi-Fi and parking?).
No interest in their Wi-Fi, but most upscale hotels have the gall to charge up to $21.00 per day for parking. Stupid ripoff for Orange County, CA., typical B.S. in L.A. area(unless they wash my car AND massage my tootsies everyday too!).
Anywho, that's my experience.
                                              Hugs,
                                                       Desiree
(who also finds mature gentlemen, absolute gems!)

The three-star hotels use free WiFi to get customers so they provide it as a lure.  The 4- and 5-star hotels have a higher proportion of business travelers who can expense the cost of WiFi because they need it to stay connected.
