Listening to popular songs of our younger years often bring back vivid memories.
For me, this song brings back memories of living at Fort Chaffee Arkansas for
a two week Army Reserve summer drill and hearing it on every radio in the barracks.
What memories does it bring back for you?
I remember reaching for the radio dial every time it came on so I could change the station.
I thought I was inane then and still do.

this is the first time I have actually listened to that song? I remember my grandmother singing the chorus occasionally, and just presumed it was from her "day"- so I thought it was about ww2. It's actually a nice song with a pretty melody.
That song and "left my heart if SF, always made me want to break my radio....
I taught tennis lessons in my town and had a few Army Wives in my classes. They thought this song was very special.
