Since the mods won't allow me to spice-up the GD board I was thinkin;

What are some of the funniest names of atheletes that ya'll have come across??

I can't seem to ever forget 'DICK TRICKLE'. The spelling may be incorrect but the name is factual. Channelguy could verify that. He's a racing nut.

Joe Don was a great running back in his time that would have fit in at a later time with all the other free spirits.  He once ran headon into a goal post without a helmet, got up shook it off and kept practicing. He would have put some of todays stars to shame.  Sonny Sixkiller was a Heisman candidate at one time I believe.

Hi,
Joe Don was a super physical talent-235 lbs and I think he ran an under 10 hundred-but he was a nut case and a coach's nightmare-while in the pros, the head coach-Allie Sherman, I believe, but could be wrong- told him to go in and give a play to the QB-Looney refused and told him, "if you want a messenger, use Western Union."  He spent about 5 years in the pros, but really wasted his physical gifts.

a Husky legend, he was a great college QB, but his drinking problem started in college, and his last year was not great. They even made a song about him that my dad some how managed to get.

hockey player just called up to nhl recently.
saw it on a blog and couldn't stop laughing

Doug Wolfgang-One of the all time great sprint car drivers
