Hotel irvine, Hilton off Mac Arthur blvd, Irvine Marriott, Westin by south coast plaza.
I have not come to work north of Carlsbad, and do not know the traffic patterns (just that oh, you've got traffic!) in Orange County. What's central but still close to the beach and cost effective for hotels?
Looking at the map it appears Anaheim is the best option for suite hotels and convenience for clients?
Any input would be appreciated!

Aka Orange County Airport. All the major upscale business hotels are located around the airport on both sides of the 405. And you're not to far from South Coast Plaza, just in case you'll need some retail therapy.
Reasonable rates, and it used to be a serious "swingers" place in the 60's-70's. Cool vibe to the place, be sure to request a room overlooking the pool area. Many fond memories of the place! I just need to get back there a little more often!!
