On October 12, 2004, the NYT published an article dealing with escorts, and two days later I had my first experience – at the age of 59. College educated, post-graduate degreed, having traveled extensively in N. America, S. America,. Europe, and Asia, I had no idea that all  THIS  was going on. Oh, I’d heard of prostitutes, and “high-priced call girls”, but websites and agencies and discussion boards were all foreign to me. So I found a local agency on the web, made a call, and a sweet little thing nearly 40 years my junior showed up at my door two hours later and rocked my world. HOLY SHIT.

Well, I’m an addictive kind of guy, a recovering alcoholic who has always lived by the philosophy that  “if a little’s good, a lot’s better”. Since that wonderful day in October, I’ve had 35 separate encounters with 20 different women in locales as varied as NJ, Orange County, Las Vegas and Jakarta, Indonesia, including 2 experiences at a local R&T AMP that opened my eyes to even another whole way of “hobbying”.

“Okay”, you say, “the guy has had fun. A late starter, perhaps a bit dumb, but who needs to hear him brag”. And I say,” a fair question”

The important, awesome, wonder-filled, and absolutely most rewarding thing about this whole past nearly 10 weeks has been the terrific people I’ve met. The ladies, oh, the ladies. But I don’t have to tell you – sweet, kind, caring, sensual, intelligent, brave and sexy beyond my most cherished wet dreams. And the other hobbyists. Guys who CARE about these women, at least most of the guys, who appreciate them and respect them and time and again in reviews urge their fellows to “treat her well”. Telephone answering people who seem to sense that I’m nervous and who joke and kid and even flirt to make the  butterflies go away. Sure, I’ve had fun – more than I ever dreamed. But I’m a richer person because of these folks – you folks – and hopefully a bit more humble and open-minded.

Then there’s the boards. Without them I’d have gone mad. There is absolutely nowhere else where I can talk about what I’ve experienced. No one in whom I dare confide. Besides their judgments, it would be pointless. They just wouldn’t understand; how could they. And here I can tell it all: what I enjoyed, what I’m afraid of, what turns me on (no matter how kinky) and what doesn’t. And if I’m being a self-involved, pretentious ass, you’ll tell me – not always gently, but maybe that’s good too. But if I or any other hobbyist is hurting or frightened or lost or whatever, the tough outer layers disappear, and on these boards one can find advice and counsel and encouragement for some really tough issues.

So how do I end this? I don’t know if I can, or if I should. It’s an ongoing, wonderfully rich, varied and life-giving story, and I look forward to discovering the coming chapters with all and each of you. So thanks, for what you’ve taught me, for what you’ve given me, and for who you are.
