Anyway, I liked her picture and description so much I decided to try her anyway. I never met her. It's not like I described myself to her or we had a long conversation and she decided to pass or anything like that. She's just a total flake. I called once. She told me to call again in a half hour, and I did. She told me to come to a particular corner in Manhattan and call again in another half hour, and I did. Then she says, "oh, the maid is making up the room now." I said, "okay..." and she said, "are you calling from a pay phone?" I said "yes, you told me to call from the corner". She said, "you have to call me on a cell phone". I said, "Alyssa, you are a f---ing a--hole". And hung up.

I will say at the outset that I have not been with Alyssa
Having met her several times in both private (she used to room with a friend of mine in LA) as well as in social venues, I can say that she is a genuinely nice person who responded with warmth and sincerity in several conversations
This is not to say, however, that she is immune from the hormonal mood swings or temperamental fits that all young girls are prone to have
As always, YMMV - for what it's worth, another good friend of mine swears by her
