texted with Athena late last night and she is thankfully resting & on the mend.
this incident actually came after she had incurred a bunch of uninsured medical bills (like over $10k) in the months prior.
in other words, #VeryBadTiming
so any roses from the hobbyist community will be much appreciated since she will be out of commission for a while.
and i can say from personal duo experience with her that she really cares about her clients beyond the "transaction".

Providers I've met have shared stories about being robbed and beaten. It's always disturbing to hear, but seeing this video.... it's so intense, so frightening, so enraging. I'm thankful Athena was able to call 911, is doing OK now, and that she had the Nest cam video. I'm thrilled to see the power of twitter and crowdsourcing being used for good. This is scary stuff. It's easy to ponder a reality where another girl might not have been as fortunate. Maybe the other girl is reluctant to call 911 due to her immigration status, maybe the attack was more severe, maybe she is not a "star" with twitter power to get help, and maybe she has no video to bring justice on the perp. This is a teachable moment for all..consider the risks and protect yourself.

I just went to the gofundme page and it says it's no longer accepting money. I also looked, but couldn't find her profile on Twitter. Frustrating.
She exceeded her goal amount and didn't feel right accepting funds that others could use so she closed the funding campaign.

I'm still pretty new to this and I just got my mind blown, no pun intended. And wow you're in here posting. I don't know you Athena but I am sorry that happened to you and sorry that it happens to anyone, providers or hobbyists or anybody. It's a crazy world! The whole camera thing's got me a little freaked out too but I understand and it's actually really good that you had one in this situation. I was robbed at gunpoint before, not hobbying, and I think that in a situation like that unless you know self defense really well, just let it go. It's not worth the money and especially not worth your life. I hope you recover well and I hope that dick bag gets what's coming to him.

But taping every session...? That would mean im on that tape somewhere and the taping was not agreed upon or posted.
