could easily argue that the fifties and early sixties, particularly here in NY were fantastic.  But every decade had its moments, and you can't say one was better than another.

From cowboys Steelers Superbowl or watching Walter Payton we will never ever seen such a great decade in sports from 1976 to 1990, all stars Marino, Montana, LT elwaybradshaw, staurbach, dorsett,The stardom of Lawrence Taylor in 1986, watching Walter Payton.ELway comebacks. Against browns or air coryell the kellen winslow game
Than in nba watching Dr j, against. bill Walton, and than dynasty of bird and magic in 80s to the stardom of Jordan and Ewing. The college years of Ewing how he was a star
Likes of olajuwon and drexler, Barkley,  how big college basketball became, villanova upset of Georgetown, to me the nfl and.Nba you will never see such greatness that we had in the 70s and 80s and Michael Jordan all by himself carried sports in 90s. Those sports years were amazing
,

From late 70s to now and in my opinion surpass baseball, funny from 1982 to 1993 those were worst years for Yankees, but from 1996 to now this has become jeter decade

of "the greatest game ever played," coupled with the Dodgers and Giants leaving for California.  Since then baseball has had some good, exciting years ('61 with Maris and Mantle, the '69 Mets, the Big Red machine, etc.), but the NFL now dominates.  The NBA, in my opinion, was exciting in the 60's with Chamberlain and Russell, briefly in '69 and '73 with the Knicks, in the 80's with Magic and Bird, and in the 90's, of course, with MJ.  But by and large, the NBA is a big bore!

Now I canT relate to nba, think I stopped around 2000 around the end of Ewing.those Knicks yrs with Oakley and Ewing how tough they were that Jordan Ewing first playoff meeting made Jordan a star. in nfl how amazing Montana was he never made a mistake only in 86 when giants destroyed them, to me to watch Jordan Lawrence Taylor for me are greatest players for there sport. Is such a pleasure u take it for granted when you watch these players in there prime

steelers, cowboys, vikings, broncos, every player, i saw every game, playoff game, you will never see that again. stars tarkenton, staurbach, bradshaw, franco, webster, blount, ham, lambert, morton, rashad, too tall, earl campbell. white shoes. monday night, cossell, greg pruitt, stallworth, swann, purple eaters, steel curtain, orange crush, bears, ditka, than giants ouch, pisachik, eagles,   montgomery, largent, zorn, those were best years of football,   to me 70s and 80s made the two best centuries in nfl and nba.

seen matches Michigan-Ohio State in football.  Now THAT'S a rivalry!

basketball, the great baseball teams of the Oakland A's, the big Red machine ala Pete Rose et al, motor sports - Al Unser, Carl yarbourough, Richard Petty, mario Andretti, AJ Fojt. Tennis - Jimmy Connors, John McEnroe, Bjorn Borg, Arthur Ashe. Golf - Jack Nickelson Lee Trevino. in Boxing you had Muhammed Ali, Joe Frazier, George Foreman et al. The list is endless. The 70's were the best decade in sports - Bar NONE. The 70's were also the best decade in movies and music.

Yes, I do miss the Dallas Cowboys of 70's - they are my team of childhood memories. and I really miss the Richard Petty's of that era. My dad didn't really care for football, but just loved cars. He always took me to the stock car races.
